^ Don't Bring Lulu.  LOL

When I was a kid, I found some old 78s in my uncle's basement and listened to 'em.  Don't Bring Lulu was one of 'em, but it was some version from the 1920s.

My mom had a Fisher Price Kiddy record player, and I pretty much spent a lot of my youth listening to songs like this, albeit more modern versions. The Funny Lady soundtrack and Man of La Mancha OBCR contained some of the songs that make me most nostalgic about my youth.

Funny, I used to think the song went "Little Bird, Little Bird in the cinnabar tree." XD

I normally avoid posting "Television recordings" like this, but it's the only version I could find, and I love the song and scene to bits. One of my favourite films, this is.

Was Eddie the best singer? Hell no! But it worked, and Lena Horne made up for any shortcomings.

One of those songs with a little hint of mondegreen, commonly misinterpreted as "Lunatic Friends"

Now it's "Into the Jaws of Death", again by the NWOBHM band Raven (not to be confused with Raven Symoan or however the F you spell the douche's name).

Believe it or not, I have that one, on a tape of ' 20s music. I can't think of the singer just now.

Pa, it could've been either one of those.  We're talking about 50 years ago when I listened to it.  But it was definitely a 1920s version, with that nasally sound to it.

And your Jully Black videos aren't playing---"disabled by request".  But I looked her up on Youtube.  She's good.  Has a 60s sound in some of what I heard.

Maybe you'd like this, which I might've posted here once before.

You'd have to ask Glitch, I guess.

Or more precisely, I could ask AngryMcP who resurrected (or "necromanced") this thread not only once in Dec. of last year after it had lain dormant for over a year, but once before that, in 2010, after it had lain dormant for over a year since 2009.

I'm sorry, but this is a serious breach of this forum's anti-thread necromancy policy, & as such, should be dealt with in the harshest manner possible.

I suggest a good scowling at is in order here.

Mr. McP., consider yourself scowled at.

'at oughtta teach 'im.

C'mon now, ol'Mule.

It would be foul to scowl on Superbowl Sunday.

Not sure of what the penalty would be, doncha see?

If ye do not see

What ought to be

Vis-a-vis

The penalty

For Angry McP

The signal from the referee

Should suffice for thee

Don'tcha see?
