I seriously wonder if anything is sacred from being completely raped and abused from these Twilight movies.  Seriously.  What's next, the Twilight™ News at Ten? Angry

We already have that. It's called 'E! News'. They hype 'Twilight' so much they shamelessly show off pictures of their abbs to the screaming fangirl morons to get them excited. Seriously, Ryan Seacrest wants to do both of them with Barney Frank!

There seems to a fad progression that fans are growing through:  First it was Harry Potter, now it's Twilight, next it'll be Miley Cyrus dungeon porn....  LOL

We need to get these people interest in super heroes, cartoon characters, video games, science fiction, mighty warriors, giant robots, mutant ninjas, and real american heroes, and tell them to stay away from fad novels, and to ignore the gossip industry!

I agree.  Harry Potter had no porn*, and the Twilight guys feel it is proper to go half-naked with no reason to do so based on the plot*, so therefore, the next natural progression is full-on pornography.  I don't think Miley Cyrus would be the best choice.  However, it might help horse racing if they put the image of Miley at the end of the racing track. LOL  Hell, Raid could use a new mascot and a fume-free way (a picture of her) of getting rid of household pests. Big%20smile

* = For full disclosure, I saw 1 HP movie (not my choice), and saw no Twilight movies.  All of this is based on movie trailers, media whoring and advertising for both franchises.

You will all probably hate me in the future, if I actually complete an idea I had this morning.  I remembered part of a dream, and in about a half hour after waking up came up with a plot/setting for a romance/supernatural Twilight-esque thing.  Again, if I ever finish it, I plan on selling out and inflicting the mass marketing of it on all of you, muwahahahaha!  LOL

I've always said that any book that needs a movie and 3725648 pieces of merchandising to spur sales can't be that good.  Meyer is a hack and Twilight is the ultimate bad Mary-Sue fanfiction; I could write better at age 15.  Few authors can make first-person work, and she is not one of them.

What the frickity frack does Volvo have to do with this whiny teenage claptrap in the first place? As if those Twilight freaks are going "OMG!!! Edward looks SOOOOOOOOO hawt leaning against that Volvo! I SOOO need to have that car!"

BTW, can someone please tell that Frankenstein lookalike Taylor Lautner to put on a shirt, as well as a bag over his head? I'm sick of looking at his chest every time I turn on my TV.

Some of you may remember I started a Twilight thread on here not too long ago and I still hate it. Never read it, seen it, and don't want to. On The View today, Whoopi Goldberg was talking about some woman who was driving an SUV, saw a vampire, and was so startled she backed up into a canal. I believe she mentioned it was "Twilight Syndrome"....

First Wal-Mart, then, Burger King and now Volvo! Car companies should not sell out to blockbuster movie extravaganzas like Twilight: Eclipse and the like. They should let the cars sell themselves by being in the damn movie. You're lost? Let me explain. In 1987, the first Robocop movie had the Ford Taurus(which was as new as this Volvo CUV in Twilight). But Ford didn't offer the f*^king Robocop package with all the gimmicks and frivilous advertizing! People saw this oval-shaped sedan as a cop-cruiser in the movie and thought they were simply awesome.... futuristic and decided to purchase one. I can't stand when car companies sell out to Hollywood like Audi did to Iron Man 1&2 and Pontiac did for Lethal Weapon 4. Cars should sell themselves in the movies without hype and overdose. Leave the selling out to the chain restuarants and the kiddie movies.

My local news did a "news story" on all the people in line at a local theater to get tickets for this movie.  It was primarily females, so I'm guessing it must be as much a romance movie
as a vampire flick.

Makes me wonder---what do women find so romantic about vampires?

I don't know, but if they saw Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire they'd probably start having second thoughts.... LOL

I just hate how they make the Volvo car seem like it is some integral part of the Twilight movie.  Oh my, Edward & Jacob can't go on with their struggle unless they get their daily dose of driving in a Volvo car!  Angry  I mean, look at how they show the car weaving in the road like it is part of the story, come on!

I don't really know what is worse, the advertisement raping of Twilight, or the ever-increasing daily 'rapeage' of the horrid 'Despicable Me' movie with the yellow turds in everything imaginable.

BOTH of these movies suck, they just have to, that's only way to explain the slow creep of it disrupting our lives.
