I read somewhere that "Tiguan" is a mash-up for Tiger and Iguana.
Personally, I think it's an indian word for "expensive piece of sh!t".

Or, maybe it's an indian word for "Hey, let's falsify our pollution emission reports!".

Either way.... overpriced piece of sh!t.   Tongue

^LOL

If you ever need a good barf emoticon, this is my favorite. Feel free to copy and hold for use in the future.

I have a pretty good fart emoticon, too. Notice I refuse to use the word emoji. Angry

I was never a big Joan Jett fan.  I think she's a beautiful woman and I like that she was a strong woman in the rock world, but her actual music didn't do much for me.  Sleepy

Agreed.

Always thought her music was kind of boring.

I always liked her.  I think she's the real deal---really does "love rock and roll".  I base that on her apparent knowledge of rock music history and the semi-obscure songs she's chosen to cover (like Jonathan Richman's Roadrunner, and I Love R+R itself).

Why can't we have the Duh Duh Duh song again?

That's the only Joan Jett tune I remember hearing. I got a kick out of Tess Turbo and the Blackheads in the Bloom County comic strip.

Why do they air this sh*t months after Mary Tyler Moore died? Geez can't you at least wait A YEAR!?

BTW if you want to see a classy commercial with a classic song check out Mitsubishi Outlander Sport commercial from 2014 featuring a song from Bobby Caldwell. That's a car commercial done RIGHT!

The blonde Tiguan driver appears to be a cutie. I found myself wondering if the AdTards were attempting a Fay Wray-King Kong connection but doubt they are capable of even that "weak spark" of creativity.

Maybe they were!  There's even the Empire State Building in the commercial.

A) If, as the ad says "it takes a long time to get to the top", then why does the chick in the ad look like she's around 22 y/o?

Shouldn't she be more middle aged looking?

B) if she's so successful and the vice president of some downtown high rise corporate office, why is she driving a damned Volkswagen????

Utterly stupid millennial pandering crap.

Interestingly enough there's no sign of 1 WTC anywhere. Must've been filmed in 2007-2009.

Oh, it's definitely a King Kong hint. Not sure of their goal, though.

Yes. It seems the giant gorilla balloon is more interested in the Tiguan than the girl. I guess that's their goal. No. It was not the airplanes. Twas beauty of a motor vehicle that killed the beast. I'm guessing the King Kong reference was lost on more than 90% of their intended audience. AdTards = idiots.LOL
