I hate the Untuckit commercial seen frequently on TV.  The guy in the ad, presumably the creator of the Untuckit shirt, has a big problem in life.  He couldn't find a shirt that looked good untucked.  I have a simple suggestion:  Tuck them in!  What a dope he is.

One of the stupidest excuses for a business I've ever seen.  What happens when the fad goes away among the supposed fashion-conscious types who would frequent such a business?  Same thing that happened to the Beanie Babys stores and mood ring stores, I guess.

The guy could solve all his problems with tucking in shirts by buying Invisible Pants.  Then nobody would notice...  LOL

Oh, finally! Someone made a thread for this! I couldn't be bothered, but this ad has been driving me insane.

I admit to being a frumpy, "jeans and t-shirts" kind of guy. But this cannot possibly be a serious problem, can it? Surely not one that warrants an entire brand with their own nationwide commercial. The way the guy speaks so confidently, like he's really accomplished something profound is slightly infuriating. How much of an ineffectual, neutered wimp do you have to be to care so deeply... so existentially... about your shirt's hemline? Talk about first world problems.

If ever there was a solution in search of a problem, Untuckit is it.

Change to "t' to an "f" and I'll consider watching it.

I never had a problem  with untucked shirts. They look OK to me and no one has ever said anything. At $50.00 a shirt, I'll take my chances and be uncool.

If you live in a cooler climate, it just feels better to tuck my shirt in. It helps hold in the body heat and keep out the cold air.

Plus, if I have to bend over at the grocery store...nobody wants to see a grandpa butt crack. Cool

I suppose an untucked shirt also comes in handy when you live in a State that has restrictive open-carry laws and you want to wear your Glock-19 semi-automatic pistol in relative comfort.

It raises the question though...
Given the choice:  Grandpa butt crack, or scary firearm?  Shocked

Well, if you are tucking your Glock into the back of your pants, it's going to fit nicely into that butt crack.  LOL   But if it accidently goes off, it's going to be already aimed at some pretty sensitive places...  Shocked LOL

When I was young I hated wearing dress shirts that had to be tucked in because of the way they'd bunch out in the back. Never had a problem tucking in knitted shirts, though. They always fit me nice.

I guess the shirt in the ad is a pretty good idea if you're young, lean and fit.

But I don't think it would be such a good idea for tubby old guys with a big gut.

All I can imagine is...

I don't get it. Why is this a thing? I've seen plenty of men wear shirts untucked and looked perfectly fine.

I think it's supposed to be like a waist-shirt. Sorta like a waist length coat.

Most non-tuck shirts hang down below the belt and only work with very casual attire like jeans, etc. I think this shirt is supposed to be able to be worn with more dressy or professional attire.

Or something like that.

Back in the olden days (the 70s), I used to get tapered shirts sometimes.  Those had a couple of seams down the back, narrowing down to the bottom of the shirt.  I don't know if they still make those.

I see now. As a guy, is that comfortable? In the 90's they had that terrible baby tee craze where the shirts were on the shorter end (some came to the waist band some were shorter), and I found them to be uncomfortable. I personally like a longer shirt.

I suppose if you have the proper physique, it would be comfortable enough. But then again, if you have the proper physique whether guy or gal, any clothes are comfortable.

If your gut is hanging over your belt, I wouldn't think a short, untucked shirt like that would be very comfortable.

I think it would depend on how well the hem of the shirt stayed in place and kept from blowing up in the breeze, exposing your torso.
