ShockedHOLY sh*t! THEY 'went there'!!!
~~~
I...I...I...am at a friggin' loss for words! What the hell were the 'Poise' adclams thinking when they came up with THIS? They took the cake nobody was meant to bake, for heaven's sake...please keep it away from the lake (nobody wants 'red tide').
Fer chrissakes! They're playing with recycled pads on the family veggie dinner cutting board!
LOL
MrsD and I saw that one a little while ago, and I had to reach over and lift her chin to close her mouth.
Then she went on for a minute about how nasty is was. "It's a used pad! It has blood and/or pee on it, and she's making hand puppets! I think I'm going to be sick".
At least she wasn't using it as a coaster, honey... or a potholder.
Personally, I'm thinking about carrying one around to save my seat at theaters and whatnot. Gotta pee? Set a stained maxi pad on the seat. Who's going to touch it?
Thank goodness they aren't advertising tampons - how would you explain the string in 'the main course'? 'Free Dental Floss'? Even going through the prison chow line and deciding which 'chili' you would like, they usually will tell you what is meat and what ain't meat (avoid!).
Well that was 30 seconds I'll never get back, but my curiosity got the best of me.
Needless to say, that was totally disgusting. I'd much rather watch open-heart surgery than see that ad again.   :(
OK, that is really offensive. What asshat thought that one up? May he never work in the industry again.
I suspect they meant "recycle the unused ones".... at least I hope that's what they meant.
Why?  Why?  Why?
Who in the hell came up with this?
I am beyond disgusted and offended.
~~~

After reading the iSpot.tv "more information" I see they are trying to prevent the "other" pads from stealing their customers and want the pee pad users to only use Poise.  Why do they have to get so obnoxious about it?  People don't want all this stuff explained to them on TV!  The whole thing is gross!

Can I at least assume they don't play this ad during common eating hours (5-8ish in the morning, 12:00, or 5:00), or do they not have the human decency to do even that?

I'm not totally getting this commercial.

1.  Are they suggesting women recycle their used rags?
2.  If not, why would women waste their perfectly good rags unless they've gone through menopause and have some extras laying around?

They can't be serious, just a stunt to grab some of those leaky ladies.

I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

They have to be talking about unused competitor pads, but it's way more fun to pretend that they're not.

Especially since it's JUST vague enough to let us interpret it the more fun way.

This commercial gives new meaning to "Toxic Shock".  Bleeeach!

Saw it on prime time, and was horrified.  This commercial is so poorly conceived WinkWinkand so poorly written and executed that instead of being humorous, clever, or wry, it instead manages to completely alienate potential customers while embarrassing everyone in the room.  A complete failure in every way.  As others have noted before - if you need these products, you know where to look for them without a barrage of lousy advertising.  Who needs to be subjected to this trash.   Angry

Kimberly-Clark Corporation is the wizard behind the curtain of this ad campaign.  If you are of the boycotting mindset, here are the other KC products you can find alternatives for so as to voice your outrage/embarrassment over Poise's disgusting ads:

Cottonelle
Depend
GoodNights
Huggies
LittleSwimmers
Kleenex
Kotex
Pull-Ups
Scott
Viva

Wow, looks like K-C has you covered from Spring to Winter.

If they added casket liners to their product line, it'd be pretty much complete.

They have polluted many once pristine waterways also.

^ Well there ya go, Darthy!  Let's start a campaign to recycle our period pads (unused, of course) to the local morgue!  They can line the caskets with them!  LOL
