I also had a big old woodpecker hanging around. It was so loud, I thought he was on the house!

I did see it on the fence as well, by the time I got my phone ready, he was gone.

Which ever one of the birds guards the nest, they don't mind if we come outside.  I was able to get a pretty good picture.

I thought I took some pictures of the Mourning Doves on the fence doing their love dance.

According to the video I am posting, these birds are monogamous and often nest at the same place every year.  That is what we have here.  They have built a nest in a perfect location!  On an outdoor speaker on our covered back porch.  The neighbor cats and other predators can't reach them or the babies!

My wife's friend Jana is a very detail oriented person, she measured out how much food her dog would need.  She was so surprised when she learned we are running out of food for the dog.  Hence, the trip to the grocery store.  Then, I hear this morning, they will be here at 10:00PM tomorrow night!

Their trip to Florida was delayed by over 12 hours when they left!  Why even take the time or risk another delay and leave it on us! They should just come get the dog on Sunday!  She is a big/little sweetie!

What can I say about our house guest...What a little sweetie!  Except for the accident when she first arrived (car sickness). She makes no noise, we have not heard her bark. She's not getting into things. She's not demanding...When Leah wanted something, she would stand 5 or 6 feet away from me and stare.  If I didn't move fast enough she would bark at me!  "I want it all and I want it now!"  This dog pays close attention when anyone is eating, not a beggar and she knows the boundaries.

When she does approach me, all she wants is some loving!  Wow!  My hand looks really old! Embarrassed

Cats are wearing coronavirus masks in China

“Coronaviruses occur in virtually every species of animal, including humans, and are commonly associated with unapparent or transient intestinal and respiratory infections. They tend to be very species-specific and cross-species transmission is uncommon,” the school said on its website earlier this month.

Introducing Dessa!  She's a sweet girl. Very friendly and she seems to be adjusting to her temporary home for the next week.

Well, I can't get into postimage.  I'll try again later.

I couldn't post there either.

Kept getting an "Invalid JSON response from server." message.

Whatever the frick that means.

I used this place instead... https://imgbb.com/

A little more complicated, but in the end, it worked.

Youngest son went to see youngest daughter in Seattle, last week. He knows how much I like Richard the Elf-eared Sphynx...so he got me a current photo (he was supposed to abduct him and send him to ME). Richard is unbelievably cool.Cool

Been a long time since I've seen my most recent 'Best Friend'...I think he is in Seattle, these days...

I sure miss my daughter's keeper, Richard the Cat, who is naked and has a very strange and wonderful personality.

Richard the Cat only ate dried fish hanging from a string that he couldn't quite reach...meals were always an adventure as he thrived on the challenge of getting that fish, which he always did.

I should point out his 'paws' - they are NOT cat-like, but much more like fingers and he used them in just that manner - he would come and sit down with me and hold my finger. He also would walk on his 2 hind legs, whenever he felt like it, He also did not 'meow' - he 'clicked' and made some really nerve shivering chatter.. His eyes also glowed bright green in the dark. Pretty sure he was an alien from Canada. A Canadian genetics lab. I drove out to see my daughter and she never told me about him - I was so tired when I got to her place that morning I fell asleep on the couch, awakening toward the end of dusk and beginning of night when she and some friends were hiding in her room and she let him out to greet me in the dark - walking on 2 legs, clicking and chirp-like chatter and glowing eyes. I didn't know anyone was home and their place was up in the wooded mountains, so this traumatized me to no end - I literally jumped out of my skin - a real-life 'E.T.' experience, but we became immediate friends. He always slept up high, in his banana pillow. which was above all others in the vicinity. When I left her place and the North Carolina mountains, she made sure I didn't steal him, which I would have if I could have...

Kind of a strange dynamic here with 3 Mourning Doves.  I did some research, all I can give you is my first hand account of what I/We saw. I think we have a strange male trying to invade the nest. When I took this pic, Mama confirmed the Mom was in the nest.  I've seen these two birds go at it for days.  I think the male father is defending the nest!
