My Totes rain boots are about 15 years old. I probably wear them about 30-35 times a year. They are not leather (in fact, I think they may be vegan for those who might be interested to know, though they are not advertised that way). They have an acrylic fur lining. They are warm and never leaked--yet--this may jinx them. I remember paying something like $30 for them. I looked and my style is long gone but they still make a rain boot similar to mine.

These boots are on my lifetime personal best purchases.

I don't like 'em because they don't look good on us boys.

I used to wear the Totes rubber boots over my dress shoes.  One day I came in and a young consultant from Arthur Andersen started kidding me about the boots.

I told her they were actually  called "rubbers" and she started laughing even more.

I then said, "Well, I have a hole in my shoe and I like to have "safe socks"...

Sounds like a clear-cut case of "socksual harassment" in the workplace. Tongue

And a stinky case it is, too!!! Sick

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

Hooty, you made me LOL!

I LOVE my Totes snow boots. they are warm and comfy and easy to slip on and off. I'm at the age where looking "cool" is BS. I'd rather be practical and not have frostbitten tootsies.

I had the standard snow boots as a kid---black rubber with these clips up the front instead of laces.  One pair was fur-lined.  I loved putting them on, as it meant I was going outside to play in the snow.

No! Mine are round toed, about mid-calf, have side zip and lace up and have fake fur lining. Actually, I think they are quite cute and since one of my best features is small feet, I think they look much better on me than those in your picture would.

Closest I have to a pair of wellies is some patent leather calf-high boots (by patent lether I mean the genuine leather+coating, not the fake shiny stuff or the really old leather+linseed oil stuff).

Stil, they've lasted me through hot and wet and cold, with only a few stray drops of moister getting in...not bad for a pair of lace-ups, I'd say...but at the most, we've only had a little less than a foot of snow here, so, who's to say?

Getting sick of my Totes now. Too much damn snow. I think even my Totes want to go on strike!
