Anyone seen this ad for Schick's new "Hydro" shaver?

Tell me the shot at :09 isn't practically soft porn....

Look at the way they've got the girl strategically posed with her legs spread & her torso angled for maximum crotch exposure.

I'm not saying that it necessarily bothers me, but in a way, I do find it a bit disturbing that we seem to be headed towards a point in the future where who knows what will be considered acceptable in hawking products.

As far as the camera shot itself is concerned, it would be a nice shot if that guy wasn't in the picture sticking his big, hairy ass in the air. Thumbs%20Down

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

It doesn't matter what you or I think.  It matters what the young people think.  That ad seems intended for the young people.

And if you've ever seen the commercials that air during Adult Swim, it's clear that there's not much that bothers the young people.  Some of them are pretty interesting, but they're usually very sexual or violent.  I'm talking about both the Adult Swim "bumps" and regular product commercials.  If young people want "edgy", why wouldn't AS or the advertisers give it to them?

Of course, some of the commercials that you and I don't give a second thought to, would never have been acceptable in our parents' era.  And the beat goes on, I guess.

I wouldn't have so many reservations about those commercials if'n the stinkin' kids were at LEAST 16 and old enough to shave - anywhere...

Pretty tame by European standards. I bet Schick will soon edit some of this out of their commercial.

*sound of Mooch vomiting* DeadDead
Personally, I don't see anything pornographic about this ad; I just find it weird.

Pa, it didn't bother me one bit.  In fact, I pretty much set myself up for your reply when I joked about back hair at 14.

WinkThanks, Bubba - I know...no biggie.
All the same, *I* was REALLY wrong for the 'W' reference..."I keep forgetting":
a.) BASIC BOARD RULES
b.) Simple Catholic decency for altar boys that never met Father Tucker
c.) Average age of the general Facebook reader
