Is it really that hard for some people to measure laundry detergent. It doesn't need to be an exact science. What if you have a small load? You're still doing some sort of measuring by making sure you hold the thing upside down long enough for the right size load of laundry.

I guess they're trying to compete with Tide Pods.  We have a thread on that one here, and I said pretty much what you said.  I just open the bottle of detergent and pour some out.  No measuring.  Maybe I measured it the first time I did a load of laundry on my own---but never since.

I had one of those for mixing 2-cycle oil with gasoline.  It was handy.

But for laundry detergent, I agree, seems silly.  Most people, I think, use way too much detergent.  I use less than half of what they tell you to use.

I also use 1/2 the amount as instructed with perfect results. Why would the manufacturer tell you to use twice as much as needed? Oh! Wait!

What a stupid contraption to put on a laundry detergent bottle, how much does that cost?

Oh great.  Unhappy  Now every detergent on the market will have some pre-measuring contraption cap, which will raise the cost of the bottle of detergent, which is already too expensive for what it actually is.  The more advertising a laundry detergent does, the more you pay at the store for the product.

Is it that impossible to fill detergent to a certain measurement? You can't read numbers? Is your hand or arm broken? What?

I might use half, or I might use twice the amount.  I don't even know.  I get it at the Dollar Tree, so it's no big deal either way.

Just bought some laundry detergent at the grocery store this a.m. - Sunday is laundry day. Tide was cheaper than Purex.
