Just heard "Jingle Bells" playing on my TV as I was making breakfast.   Really ??  It's not even mid October yet ! Angry  Balsam Hill sells upscale Christmas decor.  Something to match your gold toilet seats....

Dollar Tree and Big Lots have had their Christmas stuff out for weeks now.

Since early September.

We're guaranteed to be sick of it by December.

I think this is the earliest Christmas television commercial I've heard.  The ones that used to show up after Halloween--closer to Thanksgiving were all the Holiday Music Cassettes collections.  Millions of years ago.

The home shopping channels were hawking fake Christmas trees and ornaments back in August.

Bah humbug!

Jingle Bells, Batman smells
Robin laid an egg.
The Batmobile lost a wheel
and the Joker got away (Hey!)

Jingle bells, shotgun shells,
Santa Claus is dead,
Rudolf got a .22
and shot him in the head.

So, this is why you and I don't watch the same shows.  You're watching some shopping network?

Say it ain't so, Jimbo!

I occasionally watch it if they're selling something interesting or if I happen to be flipping through the channels and something catches my eye.

There is one regular home shopping show that I enjoy watching. I used to catch it while sitting up awake in the wee hours of the morning...

Just something relaxing about watching this guy sell giant sets of knives for pennies each.

They'll sell a collection of say, 200 or 300 folding knives of various styles with a few big fixed blades and always one Japanese katana sword thrown in, for like $140.

Oh, I don't actually buy anything.

I just enjoy watching Todd Boone and listening to his southern drawl as he talks up these knife sets.

They used to do more smaller sets of high quality collector pocket knives with bone handles in various colors, which is what I enjoyed more than the big sets of less fancy knives.
