"Love, it's what makes a Subaru, a Subaru"  STFU!!!

Go ahead and use pet cuteness to sell a damned car. Angry
And who invited that stoner Willie Nelson to a commercial about driving??  Food for thought. Shocked

I hate all of the car companies and their commercials.
This IS 'Commercials I Hate', and when it comes to stupid commercials.
I hate them, 'it's what I do'

They end the commercial before the final stop at the Vet's where little Bosco gets put to sleep.

I like this ad but it makes me sad because he's having fun with his dog before he dies! OMG SAD! Cry

I love dogs.

I'm so sick of this commercial that I could cry.
I *STILL* glare at the 'bucket list' to see if 'FINAL VIST/YOUTH IN ASIA' is at the bottom, or maybe that does not read 'Donuts' - maybe it says 'NO NUTS"...stupid dog. Should haul ass while his owner is sitting at the beach.

I've had a beef with Subaru and their "dog" angle since the chocolate lab that was supposed to aspire to be as loyal as a car, and this spot makes me sick because it tethers the bucket-listing of man's best friend to a car... more specifically... to a specific car brand.

I've bucket listed a dog in my day, and I actually like the parts of the video that don't show or mention the car, so the sentiment is not lost on me in any way, shape, or form. But I could have run my old pal around town in anything, it had nothing to do with what I drove.

Subaru has gone all out with tugging heartstrings and about made me sick.
  • What to drive when you gotta kill Bosco - nothing would be better than a Subaru!
  • What to do with the nasty ol' second-hand car you also used for your recent 'Big Chill' moment - drop it on your daughter and be glad it's gone - she will thank you because it is a Subaru!.

I'm just wondering what to put on my bucket list for my cats.   Two of 'em are 13 and 1/2.

Feed them?
Give them treats?
Let them sleep?

I'm pretty sure they don't wanna go for a ride in the car, Subaru or otherwise.

^You could get a Subaru for them stinkin' felines. Cars keep cats warm - especially if they get to curl up on the engine block.

Turn a bird loose in the house.
Collect a jar full of crane flies and/or moths and turn those loose in the house.
Let them watch a Foghorn Leghorn cartoon where he lifts the dog up by the tail and spanks him.

Wink

The day we brought our new PT Cruiser home to our then 3-year-old dog, I removed the back seats and measured the cargo area for a carpeted deck that would cover the anchor ports for the seats (they were big enough to step into and maybe break a foot... they had to be covered). I built the platform, put it in the car, and put the back seats in the attic. They're still up there, and have never been used. From ceiling height to window opening, the car was and is a perfect dog car... even if it has been reduced from a mini van to a 2-seater. Dog #2 came home with us in the PT.

"Family dog" is a pretty good position to hold in this household. LOL

I changed my mind after realizing what this ad is about! A bucket list for a dog about to be put down. I find that depressing. I don't like to be depressed. Plus I don't want to be reminded of putting an animal down, due to what happened earlier this year!

By now, lil'Bosco's GOT to be a bag o'bones a few feet under the backyard BBQ pit.
Can't possibly still be alive, but Subaru sees value in milking this ad one more time for general purposes.

Confused...and that was maybe 6 months ago. Ol'Bosco is prolly a bag o'bones in a box under a bush in the back yard, about now. Everyone caught the '14 3/4' (100+, in pup years) birthday cake and bucket list, yet here we are almost a year later and Subaru is still milking that commercial for all it is worth and then some...and, well - Bosco's lil'white gurly poodle friend there? Someone REALLY needs to hose down that dirty ol'bitch, doncha know...

Right.....  Let's see:  (Bucket list for a dog)

1 - Squirrel - doesn't matter what.
2 - Dig up neighbor's cable-tv wires (again!)
3 - One more "accident" on the living room carpet
4 - Flap ears out the car window
5 - Hold out for the "people-food"
6 - Snuggle with "Master", preferably while he's trying to enjoy the Walking Dead.

Did I leave anything out?  Smile

BTW:  I've recently discovered my 5-year old dachshund can count !!

When I give him treats, he's definitely thinking:
"One."  "One."  "One". "Another one." "One."....   TongueTongue

LOL...just you wait - dachshunds also speak Engrish very well, but only the very old ones will let you in on it and they readily employ 'plausible deniability', should you say anything to anyone else about it.

I'm so friggin' sick of this commercial!

Still playing at least twice a day on an idiot box in a neighborhood near you.

Subaru & Willie Nelson may send PaW money in advance for the rest of this next great hit
Yup.

The children cried
When the dog died
The house smelled like pee musk

On the mantle inside
There was no reason to hide
The porceline dog bust

<Chorus>
Oh Bosco, oh Bosco
From the ground you have risen!
Your stench brought the police
I almost went to prison
A few hours in the furnace
And into the vase
A short ride home
Rest over the fireplace
All of Bosco's ashes
Now we see your face

But it could be your ass...
