Get a load of this "narrator's" voice. Somewhere between monotone and vocal fry. This commercial is played endlessly where I live and it makes me want to kick my TV across the room.

(As usual, the site won't let me post the video correctly as a hyperlink. I can't get it to work no matter how many different ways I try. If someone can unlock the secret to doing it, I'd appreciate it. The video isn't on YouTube yet, so I'm posting the ispot URL.)

WinkI sort of appreciate the monotonic-simplicity of this ad - but did she say "$1 down/$10 a month" more than twice? If so, I feel your pain (I'm not willing to chance listening to it again).

I so totally hate that voiceover chick's voice.  I would go crazy if I had to hear it over and over.  The music in the background is not only too loud but I hate it too.

Ahh Planet Fitness. One of the if not the most ridiculous concepts of a gym known to man.

-On certain Mondays of the month they give away free Pizza to their members. Yes you read this right a gym that gives away pizza. Also there are Tootsie Rolls at the counter for people leaving to take. I think they also offer free bagels one morning every month.

-There are a lot of horror stories about how their billing department works.

-The most ridiculous thing though is the whole judgement free zone concept. The thought of appealing to people who are not in shape is not a bad idea but how they go about it is wrong. To start with the weights do not go but to a certain point. Then certain things that are common in most gyms are missing. For instance there is not a squat rack. There are plenty of stories out there about people who were kicked out for having great bodies be it really thin women or huge muscular men.

Then you have the worst thing and that is this. People are not allowed to grunt, drop weights, or dead-lift. I could understand them not wanting the weights to be dropped but the other two things are pathetic. If someone does this their solution is not to have an employee remind the person not to do this or make an announcement over the PA but instead to turn on the Lunk alarm. The Lunk alarm is a flashing blue light and an insanely loud siren far worse than any of the things that will cause them to activate it.

I also didn't get the monotone voiceover. I'm guessing it's stolen from Flo's attempt at a vintage boring beatnick poetry reading. It must be a "dipster" thing.

"Get my groove on"...one of those phrases that will never leave my lips.

Another one is "That's what I'm talkin' about".

It was ALE515, who posted the iSpot video. Another great female member here.

I just quoted her to figure out the right code.
