Might have been better if they cast Old Yeller instead of that other dog.  Tongue

Here's what happens when Old Yeller forgets his Old Spice.

Clean is the best smell, let the Pheromones work.

^^  Mom's ghoulish smile in "Old Yeller" at 1:46...she's so proud of her boy, bein' a man now and all growed up, and having to kill his precious dog.  Absolutely chilling.  And this was marketed as "wholesome family entertainment"...yeah, thinking about all those awful stories pitched at kids (Old Yeller, Charlotte's Web, Black Beauty, Bambi, The Yearling, just to name a few)...yup, children getting their hearts shattered is great entertainment.  Disapprove  AngryAngry

I still feel the trauma from having been exposed to these wholesome family entertainment stories where the animals don't have a happy ending.  Cry  Between that and the way they used to euthanize cats and dogs in the gas chamber at the shelters, really makes me freak out.  Cry  Angry

There was a conversation about Devo in another thread recently.

I posted this video which for some reason comes to mind again with regards this subject...

WinkLOL
Gurlz! Let's set the mood for some more of 'Paw's Words of Truth About Your Screwed-Up Life (not mineBig smile)'

Girls were always the crybabies - even the ones that were forced to use the Boy's Room.
~~~
'Wholesome Family Entertainment' = lessons and reasons for managing your feelings, or lessons in sympathy and/or empathy, or, to put it bluntly, RMA.
Without 'Required Mental Abuse' (RMA), the United States of Amexico/Trumpiana would not have been the world's leader in producing Serial Killers, Kiddie Pumpers, Drug Addicts, and Bad Check Writers. Yes, the girls always cried first when the first innocence was stolen and boys always figured a way to get even (in their own minds and to each his own). The girls weak feelings lead to them quietly becoming the ones who had to be watched the closest as they figured the best way to get even would be across a few generations by becoming teachers or lawyers or becoming the 'Queen Of Bling'. Now 'Boys With Brains' saw this and we constructed 'The Electronic Age', otherwise known as "don't worry, your money is safe with us...", married faithful women who liked guns and protected the family, and moved out of the country into the wilderness...'Ruby Ridge' had nothing on us, cancha tell...
The rest of this big ol'goofy earth just referred to us as 'The World', or EMA, or 'The Democracy' and donchaknow everybody wanted in?
And it's all because of 'Wholesome Family Entertainment'.
~~~~
And now, for today's Double Jeopardy Question:
Embarrassed"I'll take 'Putting Things In Surprise Packages' for $1000..."
Big smile"Name TWO THINGS that Stephen and Charles Whitman put in boxes for others..."
