For those of you, who are not familier with the company.
Monsanto makes things that improve the crop yield of many of the fruits and vegetables and grains we love.
Now, examine the risk to the human body?
See the Wiki link.

Monsanto is hated by the anti-GMO crowd.

I'm all for GMOs.

Go, GMOs, Go!

Wouldn't you rather have peas and other veggies that are not altered from the natural process?

Too expensive.

There's a lot of fear among some over GMOs.  It's largely unfounded, or based on bad science.  Studies that have shown GMO products to be dangerous have been debunked by scientists.  The major scientific organizations around the world (CDC, WHO, AAAS, the European Commission) have found no evidence that GMOs are harmful.  They're as good as conventionally-grown food.

One of the driving forces behind the anti-GMO movement, The American Institute for Responsible Technology, is headed by a yoga instructor.

^ I would trust a yoga instructor before I'd trust any of the organizations you mentioned.  They've all been wrong before.
Monsanto is scum and GMOs are the least of it.

Anti-GMO beliefs are largely faith-based, because there's nothing much out there that backs up the anti-GMO position.  There may be other bad things about the company, but their use of GMOs is not one of them.

If we had fruits and vegetables that weren't altered from the natural process, we wouldn't have fruits and vegetables. EVERYTHING we eat to day was genetically modified by humans through years of selective breeding. Genetic modification is the same thing, but without the potential for flaws to carry over along with benefits. It's through human interaction that we have cherries, bananas, broccoli, kale, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and so much more.

Anyway, Monsanto only owns about 3% of the total patents on genetic modifications.

What's happened is that one single type of genetic modification has become the poster-child and scapegoat for the entire science. Everyone forgets about other things: Golden Rice has a gene for producing beta carotene in it, making it more nutritious. E Coli bacteria have been genetically modified to produce ALL of the insulin diabetics use to-day. etc.

Genetic modification is nothing more than precise editing, insertion, and deletion of genes in an organism. It's not all about only one thing.

And if you want to talk about "natural", then NEVER eat bananas. Humans have modified them so much they can't even be seeded naturally, due to the seeds being shrunk down so small they no longer function. Bananas pretty much are sustained entirely by grafting.

Why let the cold hard facts of science get in the way of a good fear-mongering in the name of a religious movement?  LOL

Screw a bunch o'that...us wolfies like fresh-kill. Vegetables are no fun 'cause they're too easy to catch, don't usually have a lot of Omega3 fatty acids, and you always have to toss the wheelchairs...
