Lay's is at it again...this time, they're going global with their chips.

I just had the Brazilian Picanha chips...and they're mighty tasty.

I may try the Chinese Scezuhan or Greek Taziki. I probably won't try the Indian Tikka Masala.
Thank God for kids who love Obscure Things.

^Thanks MrC!
These DO sound good - I'll probably grab some.

I LOVE Taziki (Greek dip made with cucumbers and yogurt - VERY tasty, often smothered on gyros) and will certainly try the Indian Tikka - they should be interes ting. Don't think people realize how very rich the Indian Spice Rack really is (far more than any other culture)

They sound intriguing. I will see if they show up on the left coast.

There are so many of these 'do us a flavor' commercials. Here is the list from iSpot, Mr. C.

Sometimes, though, nothing satisfies like a plain old potato chip.  I do prefer kettle-style these days.

At work, I deal with the Lays vendor and all the stuff he brings in.  I also have to credit out any outdated, nearly-outdated and damaged bags of chips.  Then, I have to toss them into the compacter.  I'm not allowed to eat any of it, but I sometimes sneak a chip.  If these weird flavors cross my path that way, I may give them a try---out of view of the cameras, of course (I don't want to get caught eating a stale chip, God forbid LOL).

Thor, oh my God, LOL! On a more serious note, the new 2016 chips do seem very intriguing. :) Pichana chips, Greek sauce chips and Chinese Schezuzan(spelling)chips sound yummy! Better than the coffee chips a couple of years back(People loathed that flavor, one person said this best:"I live coffee, I love potato chips, but I don't love them together!) and the gyro chips from like 2 years back made my breath stink!
My name is Donathan, pronounced the same way you pronounce Jonathan, except with a D.😀 Hitting on a Lesbian who speaks to you and about you like trash means you're REALLY desperate! 😀

The tzatziki ones are really good, and the Szechuan chicken is pretty tasty too. the tikka masala has a really good flavor, but I don't really care for kettle cooked chips which hurts them for me...if they were regular potato chips I might actually like them the most, but since they're kettle cooked, that knocks them down behind Szechuan and tzatziki for me. The Brazilian picanha are okay, but are definitely the blandest of the bunch.

I absoloutely have to agree about liking regular-over-kettle-cooked chips. For me, the kettle-cooked method is more a tasteless fad.

Well, I can taste the kettle cooked ones really fine, and it's a good flavor, I just don't like the texture and how the chips seem, uhh, not sure if "harder" is the right word, but it's the best I can do.

I cannot be the only one who notices that at least one of the Lays "Do Us A Flavor" chips usually tastes simiar to Lays staple Sour cream And Onion. Brazilian Picanha and West Coast Truffle Fries from different years both taste similar to SCAO.

What are you talking about? Neither one of those tastes similar to Sour Cream and Onion. The Truffle tasted super bland, almost like a plain unflavored Lay's potato chip.

With all this fretting about 'tater chips, it kinda sounds like nobody is getting Lay'd enough.

You have defective taste buds, DKS. :D My superior taste buds were screaming,"Sour cream and onion rip off! Sour cream and onion rip off!" For both Brazilian Picanha and West Coast TTruffle Fries ;)

If you can't tell the huge difference in taste between the 3 flavors, it sounds like my tastebuds are stronger than yours. Seriously, they taste nothing alike. I don't know anyone that thinks they taste alike, other than you. Maybe see a doctor or dentist or something?

Possibly an ear, nose and throat specialist to test his sense of smell, as the inability to taste is often the result of a problem with that, rather than anything to do with the mouth or taste buds.

Maybe he got hit in the nose once.
