...to marry his mother.

I had the "hook" to this one figured out as soon as the fashionably unshaven but sensitive sissy "man" said the words "...and I wanted to ask you... before I asked her..."

I knew immediately it was gonna be a kid. My only surprise is that the kid is a boy. Much more typical nowadays to have a man, (or in the case a "man") subjugate himself to a girl.

And why does he refer to the kid's mom by her first name? Does the kid call his mom Julie too?

All in all, looking at the two "actors" they chose for this sap fest, and given the current societal trends, I'm surprised he wasn't asking the boy for permission to marry his DAD.

Barf.

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

I saw that too for the first time and figured it out too before the "payoff"

What a dork Ermm

Anyone remember the Kays jewelry ad from around 10 years ago where a couple is in a lighthouse during a thunderstorm and the woman gets scared like a child and the guy holds her and flatly intones like a stalker "I love you....and I always will" with the worst acting ever?  LOL

(WARNING: The following contains an-asked for commercial for a thread about a commercial I hate so as to drum up business on *my* thread)
Wink
I wanna see the 'Long Version' where the kid runs out into the front room to gleefully announce this to everyone, including his real father, who was an LSU Linebacker, and his construction crew, along with his soon-to-be-engaged again mother, who are all watching the football game on his real father's (here comes the 'jump the thread' commercial for another disliked commercial) Samsung QLED T.V. (http://www.commercialsihate.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=26894&PID=400858&title=samsung-qled-mustache-cant-look-away-videos#400858).

Guy has such a goofy look on his face, like he knows it's all a joke. Kid grins because he thinks the ring is his.

^^^I don't think it is Kay, but there is another Jeweler hawking their wares. Looks like it was shot in The Hamptons, at a very upscale XMAS party. If that isn't bad enough, take a look at the 'girlfriend'! Either this ad is into this new way of 'older women with younger men', or this guy is giving his Mom (wearing a tight red dress) a necklace. She give him that 'come hither'-look and he smiles somewhat innocently. Anyone else think she had maybe 1/2 inch thick layer of face makeup on? Anyone else planning on skipping the winterizing of your cars just to go buy a loved one a necklace?

I find this ad to be treacly and a bit icky..this one gets thrown in the 'overacting' bin with the 'monster dad' on the Citi phone app ad --these cheeseballs over sell the concept
Its a SIT-UP, BANANA

LOL  And the child they chose reminds me of one of the scary spirits in The Shining!  My hb and I were trying to figure out if it was a girl or boy.

Fashionably unshaven?  I think that look has gotten old.  At least I hope it has.  I hate that unshaven look.  Either shave or have a beard!  Don't sit around looking like a bum.  Sexy?  I think not!  Thumbs Down

I'm thinking the guy asking permission is really more interested in the little boy.
Send out the 'Perv Alert' before it becomes necessary to issue an 'Amber Alert'.

Save him a lot of money later in life when he would've had it done anyway as part of his transgender surgery.

CryMaddy's statement scares me and is very disturbing! I thought for sure she went to Catholic-y School, like St. Thor...anyway...

ConfusedI'm so confused - which one are you talking about?

Dangerous mister "Let me be your Daddy"

or

Little mister "I'm never going to be anyone's Daddy'?

If my vote counts, well...the commercial is kind of dimly-lit, so I say let's bury them both in the basement.

(WinkDon't be alarmed - I got kicked out of Catholic-y School in 2nd grade, so what *I* suggest is ok)

I was talking about the whipped older gent. I hope she said no.

I did go to Catholic school! Maybe I need some refresher courses.

ApproveWell, given I just ran into TheBigJ a little while ago, I stood up for you and ASKED on your behalf!
He said, "Naaawwwwwww....Maddy's good in *my* books....but what are YOU doing after lunch, Paw?..."
ConfusedAnd we're on a first-name basis?! Looks like *I* could be up for the 'refresher'.
He DID tell me to give you the pin-on, bumper sticker, and a sample 2019 Prayer Card which doubles as a Xmas card, which he swears will be 'Top Sellers' (I had no idea he had a 'Marketing Degree'!)...and also to remind you to have MrWee see the commercial as you never know when your stalker will send some unknown kid to your door to tell you he's given his approval for your stalker ask permission to take things to the 'next level'. And also to tell MrWee to keep that metal meat pounder handy.

I'm doing the scruffy look because I'm having trouble finding blades for my Gillette Sensor. I have a beard trimmer that keeps my facial hair at about a 1/16th of an inch. I shave my neck when I shower, every 2 or 3 days.  Yeah, sounds nasty, huh?  Things change when you get to be my age. I'm not working everyday, I'm not repulsive to my wife. I'm saving money on heating water.
