I WAS watching a semi-fascinating documentary about Stonehenge on Smithsonian Channel. Until they got to the ritual of cutting holes in alive patients heads, to prevent swelling in the brain. Killing them. It just got to be too much for me. So I switched it to NCIS.

For those of you who can't get away from "Appointment" TV things will certainly be better starting next week. February is the first of three "Sweeps" periods that the networks hold each year (The others are May and November). In order to attract viewers (This is when they set their advertising rates), the networks show plenty of fresh material. Of course after the month ends it's back to the same ol same ol. Dead The sweeps used to be a time in which you'd get to see some "Blockbuster" show such as a mini-series or a star-studded "special" but alas, those days are long past.

"Whose Line Is It Anyway" is just about the only thing I'll watch on regular TV.

One of my favorite things on that show is when some dipsh*t bails on foot and the cop catches up to him, first thing the guy is yelling as he's getting cuffed is "What did I do? I didn't do anything!"

Yeah that may or may not have been true before you started running, which by itself guarantees you a ride downtown LOL

As far as TV programming, I just have to get by with whatever is on until April and the MLB season kicks off.

'Sons of Liberty' mini-series (History Channel) is actually pretty damned good (so far). The FIRST episode has about 40 minutes left (8:20 PM Eastern), then comes the second episode. I enjoyed the first so much I'm watching it again...kind of makes me want to go hang around Colonial Williamsburg one day the next few weeks, then go goof around Boston (I love Boston! Sooo many friends there), on my way home for a break...

'Sons of Liberty' - episode 2. Even better than the first - this is proving to be extremely good, well done history (modified for today's idiot box kids).

Right now, both MSNBC and CNN are doing nothing but coverage of the snowstorm.  There's really nothing much to show yet, but there they are, out in the streets, ready to bring it to the country as it happens!  LOL

Yeah, MeTV is one of my go-to channels.

I can't watch those shows on Saturday night either. But for a weekday afternoon, they're not bad.

Saturday nights are for the Britcoms.

Going to cacatch up on 'Sons of Liberty' on "on demand". Looks good. And yeah, MeTv is good. Not as good as it used to be, but still good. Love the westerns. Just needs more "Dead or Alive".

I found an episode of Breaking Bad on AMC, Why TF are they speaking what sounds like German with subtitles?
Okay, after the guy electrocutes himself on the toilet we are back to Engrish.

Most of the programmes on TV anymore are pure sh*te! That's why I have an ever growing collection of dvd's in my house. Most of the time when I turn on the telly and I don't want to watch one of those annoying "reality" shows ( which have no concept about what true reality is, or when it occurs), I usually turn to TCM and watch a vintage movie.
I enjoy TCM because they play their movies without commercial interruption (yay!), and the movies are remastered, thus removing the poor sound quality etc.
The reason for why I have no idea who or what a Kardashian is, is the fact that I avoid trash telly. I will not watch crap like that, nor do I watch things like Duck Dynasty, Cops, and I especially hate cooking programmes featuring that egotistical twat Gordon Ramsay!

I don't watch Kardashian anything, either...but somehow, I know who they are.  Maybe it happens via osmosis at the checkout line at the supermarket.  I guess it'll just be a matter of time before I can identify them all.  I know that two of them look exactly alike.  I think.
