I've seen three different versions of this commercial. Someone is looking at a Hyundai at the dealership and makes a comment to his or her friend about the price of the car (maybe the money you can save by buying it, or because of the MPG?). Then the back window rolls down, or the guy pops out of the sunroof, and gives some financial advice.  (Each time, it's someone who's written a book about money.)

The customer, taken aback (and in shock and awe), says:

"Adam Smith, author of [blah, blah, blah]?"

Whereupon, Adam Smith [or whomever] says, "Yes, just invest in a CD."
------

So here's my question: Why don't those smart-ass book authors just say: "Buy a Hyundai. It'll save you some money, which you can then invest in a CD" ?

End of commercial.
