I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that a crappy product is going to have a sh*tty commercial. I do like the part when the beaver is buzzing through the tree trunk.

I've had the stuff a couple of times. It's not bad as canned soups and stews go. Not enough meat in it though. Same with all of them.

Did they say "The Beer of Meals"?  I like the stuff, always add BBQ sauce in the pot.

Yeah, that kinda stuff is always better when you doctor it up a bit.

OK, I have bought it too.  It makes for a good provision for camping.  Just warm it up on the fire right in the can.

When I was single and trying to cook at home, I would buy two or three days worth of fresh beef, pork or chicken. Then, round out the week with a frozen pot pie, some beef stew or maybe some corned beef hash.

I ate an occasional can of Snows clam chowder until finding the morsel of clam was like finding the pork in Van Camp's pork and beans.Angry

I did that. It's amazing how far a 3 pound chuck roast, whole chicken, or pork roast can go. How did we survive without crockpots and microwave ovens?
