I've always been suspicious of what Publishers Clearing House is doing here and how they can afford it.
Print media is a dying industry. Newspapers, magazines and just about any other content is available online. Throw in this god awful song sung by...not Cher. And this upsets my stomach as much as the gushing, aromatic pimple talk in the other thread. |

If they're gonna put everything online, the experience must improve. That means less pop-ups, freezing, electronic hiccups, scroll problems and extraneous banners. If not then the online experience!
That is the most cringe worthy rendition of "Turn Back Time" I've ever heard. Heck I'm not much a fan of the original! |

One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

Watch them give away just a $1 million SuperPrize. They LIE on every damn commercial. '$7,000 a week for life!' '$1 million + $5,000/week for life and a new car!' '$2.6 million + $5K a week for life!' In the little disclaimer, there's supposed to be one winning number but it only works when the envelope is returned and processed. That means people who never did the sweepstakes and threw it away as 'junk mail' just threw away a 'possible' winning number. Then the disclaimer reads 'a second chance drawing for a guaranteed $1,000,000 SuperPrize'. I bet you $100 they will give away $1 million and not $2.6 million. PCH runs these commercials every day nonstop but they LIE about what they give away.
But the other thing I don't understand is when they give away '$5,000 a Week Forever' every year, someone actually wins...??? The chances of winning PCH are smaller than getting struck by lightning twice. You have better chances winning on a casino slot machine betting $10 a spin. My mother has sent in envelopes and played their game for over 15 years and has never won a dime. My grandmother has put her name into their sweepstakes since the 1980s. Yet she's never won a dime.
