I grew up DESPISING these cookies.  I hated them even until up a few years ago and then, if I remember correctly, needing some crunch in my ice cream, threw some in there and BAM...FULL ON ADDICTION.

If  you haven't yet, I wish any of you would so we could talk about it.  Something about the texture and the spice with the vanilla....drool.

The best way is to make little ice cream sandwiches with them.

I am reading they are a mostly regional item here in Phila, PA.

Hmmm...interesting.

I like almost anything crunchy on ice cream.

Well.... maybe not toenails, but just about anything else.

Spare radio parts are pretty good.

The only ginger snaps I've ever had were these small animal cracker-sized boxes of 'em that they sold at the candy store for 10 cents (there were other varieties, too) when I was a kid.  They were pretty good.  May have to try 'em again.

I kinda like ginger snaps, but they often tend to be a bit too "snappy".

Ginger looks like she could snap with a flick of a finger these days.

My mother used to put ginger snaps in her pot roast gravy.

I must look for these. I love ginger snaps.

Speaking of things one never liked but tried again - for some super weird reason, I have been craving a gin and tonic. And I despise gin. EVen the aroma. But the craving is so strong, I'm actually thinking of having one. That's pretty darn weird.

You don't have any desire to pour it over a bowl of pickles and ice cream, do you?

One of my roomates in college got me into drinking Tanqueray & tonic or as he called them, "grin & tonics".

I didn't really like them all that much, but it was a change of pace from all the beer we drank.

I have since come to prefer JD & Coke.

I could just drink that stuff by the gallon.

Perhaps it's a miracle.

So, what are you hoping for---a boy or a girl?  And can we name it?  I suggest Flo if it's a girl, and Mayhem if it's a boy.

If it's a girl, definitely Bonnie.

Heck, even if it's a boy. No -  especially if it's a boy.

That'd just be another reason to beat him up.  Hell, I wanna beat him up, and the blessed event hasn't even arrived yet.
