If I had to chose one I think it would have to be "I Love This Bar" by Toby Keith.

I think that song sums us up pretty well.

What theme song would you give this site?
One man gathers what another man spills

As of late, I'd say:
"Goodbye Cruel World", or "The Happiest Days of Our Lives"
Pick your poison.

These past few days, I would say:

Talk Talk
MUSIC MACHINE
(Sean Bonniwell)

I got me a complication
And it's an only child
Concernin' my reputation
As something more than wild
I know it serves me right
But I can't sleep at night
Have to hide my face
Or go some other play-ay-ay-ay-ay-ace

I won't cry out for justice
Admit that I was wrong
I'll stay in hibernation
'Til the talk subsides to gone
My social life's a dud
My name is really mud
I'm up to here in lies
Guess I'm down to size
To size

Can't seem to talk about
The things that bother me
Seems to be
What everybody has
Against me
Oh, oh, all right

Here's the situation
And how it really stands
I'm out of circulation
I've all but washed my hands
My social life's a dud
My name is really mud
I'm up to here in lies
Guess I'm down to size
To size

My dad is a lover of British comedy. Like The Young Ones, and of course Monty Python.
Benny Hill was the only one I liked, my dad having forced me to watch many a tape. Benny Hill was the only show where I actually laughed, and wasn't completely confused the whole time. British comedy is weird.

ooh and hears the lyrics to the other one, damn catchy! (I saw it on TCM!)

how about we sing along LOLLOL

Something familiar,
Something peculiar,
Something for everyone:
A comedy tonight!

Something appealing,
Something appalling,
Something for everyone:
A comedy tonight!

Nothing with kings, nothing with crowns;
Bring on the lovers, liars and clowns!

Old situations,
New complications,
Nothing portentous or polite;
Tragedy tomorrow,
Comedy tonight!

Something convulsive,
Something repulsive,
Something for everyone:
A comedy tonight!

Something aesthetic,
Something frenetic,
Something for everyone:
A comedy tonight!

Nothing with gods, nothing with fate;
Weighty affairs will just have to wait!

Nothing that's formal,
Nothing that's normal,
No recitations to recite;
Open up the curtain:
Comedy Tonight!

Something erratic,
Something dramatic,
Something for everyone:
A comedy tonight!

Frenzy and frolic,
Strictly symbolic,
Something for everyone:
A comedy tonight!

[ENTIRE COMPANY]
Something familiar,
Something peculiar,
Something for everybody:
Comedy tonight!
Something that's gaudy,
Something that's bawdy--

[PSEUDOLUS]
Something for everybawdy!

[ENTIRE COMPANY]
Comedy tonight!

[MILES GLORIOSUS]
Nothing that's grim.

[DOMINA]
Nothing that's Greek.

[PSEUDOLUS]
[Indicating DOMINA:]
She plays Medea later this week.

[WOMEN]
Stunning surprises!

[MEN]
Cunning disguises!

[ALL]
Hundreds of actors out of sight!

[ERRONIUS]
Pantaloons and tunics!

[SENEX]
Courtesans and eunuchs!

[HERO]
Funerals and chases!

[LYCUS]
Baritones and basses!

[PHILIA]
Panderers!

[HERO]
Philanderers!

[HYSTERIUM]
Cupidity!

[MILES]
Timidity!

[LYCUS]
Mistakes!

[ERRONIUS]
Fakes!

[DOMINA]
Rhymes!

[PHILIA]
Crimes!

[PSEUDOLUS]
Tumblers!
Grumblers!
Bumblers!
Fumblers!

[ALL]
No royal curse, no Trojan horse,
And a happy ending, of course!
Goodness and badness,
Panic is madness--
This time it all turns out all right!
Tragedy tomorrow,
Comedy tonight!

One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

Yeah, I know.....we are a weird lot.

Have you ever watched shows like Absolutely Fabulous, or Coupling? They're actually pretty funny shows, not too weird either.

I used to love watching Benny throttle the old man over the head. Very funny stuff!

My Husband and I often quote AbFab, Saffy, sweetie darling, bring Mummy a cup of tea......., one of my favorite episodes is when they go to N.Y. looking for a door knob.
I loved when Benny Hill dressed in drag!!

"Ship of Fools" by the Doors.

The human race was dying out
No one left to scream and shout.
People walking on the moon
Smog will get you pretty soon.
Everyone was hanging out
Hanging up and hanging down
Hanging in and holding fast
Hope our little world will last.
Along came Mr. Goodtrips
Looking for a new ship.
Come on people better climb on board
Come on babe we're going home.
Ship of fools, Ship of fools.

The human race was dying out
No one left to scream and shout.
People walking on the moon
Smog gonna get you pretty soon.
Ship of fools, ship of fools
Ship of fools, ship of fools
Ship of fools, ship of fools
Climb on board

Ship's gonna leave you all, far behind.
I got to climb on board, yeahhh!!!
Ship of fools, ship of fools

AbFab- My parents loved it but I thought it was a documentary about hens and their daily lives on the farm.

Not really.

But come on, it was almost worse than Sex and the City. ALMOST. To me at least.

Coupling- Heard of it, but no. The only British stuff I watch nowadays is Premier League Soccer.
