Yessiree!
We have yet another pretty darned good 'cop drama' here, folks...for those of us that get BBC. I hadn't said anything to date, but it now is going into 'season 2'...and still is good.
Can get pretty gruesome, but not far-fetched at all - and is certainly a 'thinking man's' show...aaaand...each episode is 1 hour 15 minutes long (that is 75 minutes, for you folks trying to find 'an app for that').

I love this series.  Since i moved from cable to Directv, I have found all kinds of goods shows on channels that i didn't have.  I have been an anglofile my entire adult life and i am so happy about getting BBC America.  Love Law&Order: UK, too.  Have you seen that?  BTW, Idris Elba (Luther) is nominated for a Golden Globe award for this show.
A new study finds that people who are chipper & happy live longer. Which is surprising because people who aren't chipper & happy want to kill people who are always chipper & happy. David Letterman

BBC America is pretty much the only channel consistantly worth watching.  They play American shows sometimes, though, like Star Trek: The Next Generation and the X-Files,  so they're not completely immune to network decay.  Not that those shows are bad or anything (and ST:TNG does have Patrick Stewart, I suppose they figure that makes it English enough), I'd just rather have British shows instead.

WinkWe never miss L&O:UK - great show.
In regard to Idris Elba - very, very good actor. He's been around a while - I didn't realize it until MissyDWolf was watching 'Luther' with me and mentioned he had a major role in the movie 'Obsessed'. That got me to look him up on IMDB...pretty impressive resume.

This may be the only show better than 'Justified' - and it is better by leaps and bounds. Absolutely incredible show.

We watched the first two 'Series 2' episodes, last night; couldn't peel me out of the chair, but I couldn't watch the 3rd episode (watched the first 5 minutes, but finally got too wound up). I'll get to the next few episodes this evening...

Samples from the first 2 episodes...
