I'd come up there, Pa, but I haven't rode a bicycle in decades. Embarrassed Hey look, Saturday evening/Sunday morning, I might even be able to open a window for an hour or so.

Thor,

My wife is 5 foot nothin' and I'm 6 feet, so she doesn't normally see my bald spot.  I have no one else to impress, so I won't use Rogaine.  (it really works?)

Reminds me of my smart-ass teen years, when my dad said, "get a haircut!".  I responded, "OK, you want me to get one with a hole in the back cut out like yours?".   Another time, he said, "If you got a haircut, you'd lose 10 pounds."
I responded, "No, I'd lose 170 pounds, I'd get you off my back!".

I'm lucky to be here.

Pa, I've been to Deferiet a few times. My company had a paper mill there.  Kind of a depressed area, but it the country was nice.

That's exactly the same with me.  Started thinning out around 30, and now, at 52, have a little bit of a yarmulke on the crown.  Not bad, really.  From the front, it's still fairly OK.  Still, I'm not Jewish, so I have no particular need for the yarmulke, and decided to go on the Rogaine in February.  Seems to be working!

"Hair today, gone tomorrow".

I started losing my hair in the back at age 30, and I really haven't lost much more.  I still pretend I have a full head of hair since I can't see the bald spot on top of my head.

We have had 22 days of no rain, and the west coast is on FIRE!
Now this morning on the way home from work it was raining!
Mind you we get one day of this and it's back to dry 80-90s for the coming weeks.

This is when these people come north to Oregon and Washington and decide to move here. Ha then September rolls around....

I can't stand it here!  The central AC stopped working right..... not at all.....and the forcast is 95 degrees tomorrow!  I pulled some fans out of the attic, but AC is just one luxury that I allow myself, I control it and conserve and it worked fine several days ago.   I have an older home, which is over 60 years old with storm windows and the original windows are painted shut.  Not that this matters this time of year since there is no breeze anyway.  I called my brother who lives in Florida and is a plummer and works on ac/heating.  We did some troubleshooting over the phone and have some things to try tomorrow.  Thankfully, If I can't correct some things that he suggested,  I may know of some people here that I can rely on for an honest job to do this work if necessary.  Sorry, but I just had to vent!  I just don't need this now!

Shoot me now with this heat! I went into the office thinking it would be cool and the air in here is so heavy.

You must live in Sweden.

Oh, an addendum to that article I posted elsewhere.  The Swedish government finally allowed a couple to name their child Metallica.  Elvis is still forbidden.
