Has anyone else seen the rediculous new Wal-Mart commerical. I've seen it twice now beginning toward the end of October. It shows some clueless woman at Wal-Mart asking an employee for help selecting a kitchen appliance and then the employee is so gosh darn helpful that she volunteers to go home with the woman to help her with her new appliances. I honestly thought she was kidding, but then she actually goes to the woman's house and sets up her appliances for her while wearing her Wal-Mart smock and then proceeds to bubbly help the woman get ready for a dinner party. I mean what the hell, I don't expect most commercials to be realistic, but c'mon, this is taking the absurdity to a new low. I usually can't even find an employee at Wal-Mart to help me and when I do, they usually can't speak English or act like they don't care. Thumbs%20Down

The Wal-Mart employee probably walked off with the jewelry and silver.

You beat me to it, Hoot.  LOL

But, surprisingly, I've found WalMart employees to be pretty nice, and quite helpful.  Except when they're having those ridiculous rah-rah sessions in the morning, right in the store!  Anyone seen those?

A long time ago we got rained out of work so I stopped off at WalMart on the way home. It was early( 8:00a.m.ish) so the store wasn't crowded. I heard the whooping & cheering and wheeled my cart over to see wtf it was.Confused

As for the commercial, that WM worker will probably get fired when she gets back to the store.

They actually need morning motivational rituals for the employees at Wal-Mart? Wow, what does that tell you?

Finally! Something new. Well, at least Wal-Mart finally knows that this stupid "smart female" thing is everywhere.

Yep.  Early in the morning.  Last time, they were blocking the watermelon bins that I wanted to get to.  No way in hell was I gonna get in the middle of that!  So I waited.  And waited.

Hmmmm...maybe next time, I'll just join right in with 'em.  Might be fun.  Maybe I'll dress like a Hare Krishna, complete with bells on my fingers, weaving in and out amongst them while singing the Krishna song.

"Hare krishna, hare krishna, hare krishna, hare, hare.  Hare rama, hare rama..."

How many watermelons do you have on hand at any given time that you needed to buy a bin for them?

I usually buy 3 at a time, in hopes that one will be good.

I'm not religious, but I like it too. Of course, it helps if you already like Eastern religion in a sort of detached way, or if you're a Beatles / George Harrison fan.

Within You/Without You is one of my favorite Beatles' songs.  Well, it's really Harrison's song.

After my dad retired from his regular job, he started working at Wal-Mart.  He's in the hardware and paint department, which is like a candy store to him.  Plus, he loves dealing with the customers and is very helpful, and they all love him because he's funny and jokes with them all the time.

However.  My father put his foot down and said he refuses to take part in the cheers, and they like him so much, they've allowed him to stand on the sidelines.  I wouldn't be able to do it, either.  I'm definitely his daughter.

I just watched that video.  It's a freaking cult.

But the woman with the R wasn't really putting her ALL into it.  I wonder if she got a talking-to.

I noticed that, too, Faith.  "R" Lady that is.  She's definitely not R Lady of WalMart.

And maybe I'm missing something...but aren't there a few non-employees joining in, in that vid?

I do, however, hope that video was of Halloween at WalMart.  Sometimes it's hard to tell.
