These commercials kill me! You can tell these actors are improv actors.

That's what she said.

These commercials are probably the worst commercials on the air, tying my all-time [NOT] favorites: feminine hygiene, erectile dysfunction, feminine itch, and lubricant ads. They are an insult to human dignity, insipidly stupid, mind-numbingly boring, and worse than an elementary talent show.

These need to be yanked, because everyti eI see them, I want to throw up... Usually they are also shown in tandem with the aforementioned personal products, which also have no place on television. Dead...

I hate these so much, I have written Sonic Corp about them, and will boycott them until they have an ad that showcases the product i an appealing fashion. The two guys in the car: are they married in Oregon or something? Are they the undocumented offspring of Al Gore and Ted Kennedy?

Angry  These rank atop the list of the world's worst commercials of all time. Bring me a Joe Green Coke ad. Please, advertisers [Sonic] do not put out these tied and stupid hack ads. You dont get me to buy, by insulting me with this drivel.

Well GREAT! Your poignant letter and vicious efforts are going to close down one of favorite places AND you could very well cause their clever ads to stop being made. How could you?

The two guys in the car: are they married in Oregon or something?

It is obvious you are implying that they are gay. So what.. but what I think is funny is that Oregon doesn't have gay marriage, in fact if you lived here or knew someone who lived here and knew the latest laws, recently the Oregon constitution was ratified in that it made the possibility of gay marriage very difficult to ever achieve here.

Are they the undocumented offspring of Al Gore and Ted Kennedy?

Um, I am kind of lost on this one.  Are you going by looks? By politics? If so were their politics showcased in the ad? Do they LOOK democratic?  Did you just pick two arbitrary big name liberals and throw them in your "insta-jokeamatic" or whatever?

I saw an article about these two yokels. I believe they're radio DJ's, you know, the morning, drive-time, 3rd rate comedian type. :) Yeah, the commercials are "improvised" ...I guess they roll tape and try different stuff until the director goes. "That was kind of funny, let's go with that."

If you are talking about the 2 guys going to a Jack in the box offering tissues, then I hate that commercial. I personally think they were on crack (both the ad makers AND actors).

i like these ads... I wish we had Sonic in the northeast. We are talking about the people in the cars/drive thru? I think they're pretty well thought out commercials. Atleast you don't see these actors in other horrid commercials.

I used to LOVE the Sonic ads.

There were the ones with the guy & the girl & the ones with the same guy & another guy.

They were awesome.

I actually looked forward to them.

They did a YouTube contest for people who made their own amatuer Sonic ads.

There was no prize or anything, but the two guys judged them & some of them were quite good.

I hope the come back around here soon.

"Tea parties" are for little girls & their imaginary friends.

I just don't find the humor just like that show arrested development that was supposed to be so good..Not funny
I guess thats why they have laugh tracks on tv shows so we that find it not funny can say OH that was supposed to be funny? I always thought if it was funny i would know when to laugh.. besides its just a dumb Ad so why take it personal? If you like it GREAT enjoy.

I think I was more or less perplexed. I highly doubt he penned an angry letter (and if he did, I doubt Sonic made any sense of it)
and his attempts at humor and being clever "married in Oregon" was misguided and steeped in ignorance, ad I noted that in Oregon it is very difficult now due to a statewide vote banning same sex marriage on a constitutional level and his ted kennedy/al gore joke?? I think I explained the stupidity on that one.

I feel that if someone is going to bitch, there should be some wit and wisdom behind their words. This guy's fell flat.

And he was a one poster. That tells a lot right there.

Oh, I actually agreed with what you said to him.

I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the "butt hurt" line on you.

First off, I'm back after a few months off (lost my password and never bothered to update it until recently)Wink

Evidentally those ads are HISTORY...Sonic ads now show carhops on rollerskates talking about how they're gonna bring you "a very tasty burger.. delivered on skates by me!!!"
(Last time at Sonic I didn't recall the carhops wearing skates...but some were fairly HOT!!)

I don't eat at Sonic because I don't want to be waited on at a burger place.

I don't want to be waited on because I don't want to be obligated to tip a waitress.

When I eat burgers, I want to get out of it as cheaply as possible & that does not include tacking on an extra 2 bucks for a tip.

I can carry my own burger & fries back to my table, thank-you.

Plus, their food's not that great.
