This ad is creepy and wrong. It also makes no sense, why is the kid getting excited over the MHLF eating a halls? I just don't get it and I don't want to.

Nothing new, friends' hot moms (though that woman I think is set up to be not the typical MILF I think to add something to the commercial)
American Pie just labeled it and it took off in to pop culture. Now it is punchline or footnote. A go to topic for a cheap laugh. The falling souflee/cake or kick in the crotch of the new millenium. Ad sucks by the way |

I've seen this ad maybe three or four times, and with each viewing, it just gets creepier and creepier  .

I came on just to rant about this one. UGH! Creepy is right. That kid who offered her the Halls looks creepy and the way their puckered lips look makes me want to hurl. The way they describe the lozenge is bordering on pornographic (Sooo juicy! Mouth watering...I wonder if she likes it...) I was almost expecting to hear the 'bow chicka bow wow' music start.
Off topic but a related issue...why is he offering her a Halls? I didn't hear anyone say anything about a sore throat. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Halls medicine? I mean, you DO find it in the medicine aisle of a drugstore, not the candy aisle. Maybe this kid goes around offering people aspirin as if they were Tic Tacs. |

I know that the kid is in college but this is kinda creepy not sexy in like the same way the Dannon Yogurt slurpin' bimbo is creepy and not sexy. But what gets me to dislike this ad, and it could be just me, but I think this older woman and younger kid look an awful lot like that dog ugly teacher that went to prison TWICE for having an improper sexual relationship with one of her students. They are married now and have a couple of kids.
I have to believe this was on purpose because if this commecial had a hot mom or MILF then you thinking there is sexual tension between the moaning mom and kid would be probably forgotten, but since they look like that teacher & student, the percieved sexual tension is more intense because they remind the viewer of them, which makes it more memorable and VERY CREEPY. |

That was rather creepy and wrong. Very wrong. I guess we all tell what was on the story board people's minds when coming up with this commercial

As always, I watch commercials in mute mode.
I thought that it was just my warped thinking causing me to think the commercial was creepy. That is until I watched it with sound...... The fact that mom's husband and son were so shocked just made it worse. We could have called it a misunderstanding up until then. |

Eww! I know this commercial is just 12 different kinds of wrong! I was at the store the other day getting some lozenges for my mom and saw those refresher things on the shelf. I was instantly reminded of this damn commercial and nearly ran for the pepto to keep my stomach from flipping
Needless to say I picked her up some Ricola instead LOL
