Another from this useless-versity. The guy is talking about how successful he is while out mudding with his family, including his grandpa. They show the grandpa and he says that he never says that he's proud of him and all that. The next shot has the grandpa saying how proud he is!!
So what I get from this ad is that with their 'degree' you can afford to take your family and eat fried chicken in a mud hole. Sounds great.

I hate these commercials simply because of the name of the school. What could the "ITT" portion of ITT Technical Institute possibly stand for? IT almost always stands for institute of technology....so, is it Institute of Technological Technology Technical Institute? What is it??? I actually called their 1-800 number and asked once. The guy couldn't tell me. I have a problem with the school named UTI - honestly did no one think about that when naming the school? And if you somehow didn't notice the initials you'd given your school, wouldn't you at the very least avoid calling it by its nickname?

At least among the techies I know, ITT is universally reviled; at least their information technology "degree". Apparently you'd get more use out of studying for certifications yourself (I know I am)...I'd heard rumors of it being a diploma mill of sorts.
Any school that has a disclaimer saying credits will not transfer (and no good reason for saying so) is automatically suspicious in my book. It also says one location doesn't offer bachelor degrees. |

Originally, 'ITT' stood for 'International Telephone and Telegraph'. Like most companies that use initials, it soon outgrew that name. I'm not sure how long it's been since ITT has even owned the technical-institute subsidiary; I'm pretty sure it was sold off years ago, and uses the name under license.
