This commercial features a woman at the laundromat literally chewing a 5 dollar bill (that was taped to the side of a shelf), I haven't seen anything this disgusting since the founder of Bush's Baked Beans literally chewed his famous recipe in one of his earlier ads.

I get a kick out of the disclaimer.
Dramatization. Do not attempt.

Sad days we live in when we know suits would abound if this disclaimer wasn't placed there.

Yeah. I certainly felt like eating some dollar that has been through hundreds or thousands of hands and getting sick and sueing Quiznoes. First thing that came to mind. [/sarcasm]

Hey atleast they didnt bring back those Quiznos puppet things... If anyone remembers those.

I ate Quiznoes probably last month and it was actually really good IMO, but I gotta agree, that stuff is too expensive.

WE LOVE OUR SUUUUBS... I was in a minority as I loved those ads.
The non sequiter aspects of those things was wonderful, plus those guys' work is pretty well established in the net community and gaming world

I just saw that ad the other day.

It will probably cause me to go eat at Quizno's.

I'll fork over 5 bucks for one of their subs.

Once.

Sandwich Savvy…  It’s not easy at the Quiz.  For a treat, about every 7 to 10 days I enjoy a Subways sub.  Their $5 large sub deal makes the treat even better.  Then came the Quiz $5 TV ads.  I’ll give them a try!  Looks good on TV. --  I should have know walking in.  At Subway there’s a 3 to 5 min wait to order.  At the Quiz there were two people eating and no line.  So I studied the menu & ordered a ft long Italian and med drink.  Got to the register and handed the guy a $10.  Got back a buck and 2 pennies.  Trying to figure why a med drink cost 4 bucks I said “Isn’t this sub 5 bucks?”  The guy said “The 5 dollar deal is for a deli sub”.  Staring at the sub again I’m trying to figure out where in the heck the meat came from if not a deli.  I uttered “I guess I’ve been ripped off”.  The guy half smirked then smiled.  So I’m eating and figured out the Quiz is to figure out the deal or get ripped off.  Getting ready to leave for the last time I’ll ever visit the Quiz again, I hear the register guy smirk to another looser “The 5 dollar deal is for a deli sub”.  I felt a little better someone besides me failed the Quiz!!

What the hell is up with all of this $5 food chain mayhem? Did we just discover what a Lincoln is? Arbys has a 2 for $5 thing. Little Caesers, Pizza Hut, and Dominoes all have $5 pizzas. Subway and Quiznos all have $5 deals. Is $5 really that great of a deal?

I swear it has something to do with inflation.

hmmmmmmm...

I have a bunch of coupons I saved from 1999 and I checked their deals, heres what one of them says WORD FOR WORD QUOTE (I have them right next to me here on the computer):

ALWAYS A DEAL

Buy One Regular Footlong Sub With
A 21oz. Drink For

$3.99
One coupon per customer per visit
Not good with any other offer

(Subway logo)

If you think I'm making this up I could type the copyright line on the back as well......

"  © 1999 Doctor's Associates Inc.-Printed in USA-Window#9-US Version. Mil-LOONEY-um. LOONEY TUNES. characters, names and all related indicia are trademarks of Warner Bothers.  © 1999.   "

NOW if you think I completely made that up in my head without a single mistake, the you're completely crazy.

and if you think I got that off of the Wayback Machine, pfft, you have got to be joking because I checked there and they have zero information about their past prices, bupkiss.

Just wanted to say I got ripped off at Quizno's as well......I went there a few days ago to get a "$5 sub," and my total was like $9.53.  I was like, excuse me, aren't these supposed to be $5?

The guy sort of smirked and gave me the "deli sub" line -- I thought my plain roast-beef-and-american-cheese sub was my ace in the hole, because it's not fancy/doesn't involve big chunks of anything.  It was a total deli sub -- nothing but meat and cheese slices!

Somehow, that argument did not work with the sponge monkey behind the counter, who proceeded to rip off a few girls behind me who also wanted $5 subs.

Those SOB's can go to hell.  At least Subway follows through.

I have a question for the people who ate at Quizno's. Did you ask which sandwiches were $5.00?

The bigger question is "why do you have coupons from 1999?"  and don't you hate it when people pronounce it coopons?

Here is the correct thing to do when they smirk and tell you that stupid line. Throw the sandwich at the guy's smirking face and tell him Jared sent ya!!!

Is this the ad where the opening line is, "If you're going to eat five dollars.....", cause I have heard that a few times with my back to the TV while I was working on my desktop computer, and never really SAW the ad. I am pretty sure it was a Quiznos ad.
AW DAMN!!!! Wild Shot the friggin TV again!!!

That's the way food places just about always operate. One does something everybody else has to get in on the act. You'll notice now everybody's doing a chicken sandwich and everybody's got chipotle. Used to be all those chicken sandwiches were getting second billing to their glorious brother the burger now you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a supposedly Southern Style chicken sandwich.

(This commercial has actually given me nightmares...)

I wanted to start a thread about this commercial...but I wanted to forget it even more.
The moment she opens her mouth, it all hits...(I wanna snatch that fiver from her and put a sock in her mouth so very badly...)

For some reason...

I've seen her before! (she was mean and didn't speak a lick of English...)

I've been in that laundromat before! (it was dark and dingy with a lot of broken-down machines, along with a few that were very close to being that way)

If your talking about the one the the bowl cut black haired girl, she DOES look weird. No one would ever have hair like that and I'm positive it's a wig. She just shoves the 5 dollars in her mouth then makes this exaggerated chewing mouth movement to fit it all in. The kicker is at the very end, like a second before the commercial ends, you can see her making this irritating face at the sub. She looks like she's dirty talking to it then proceeds to bite her lip and shake her head like shes smitten with the damn sub. The whole thing can be seen here:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_63f4Da67v8&NR=1

Luckily when I saw the commercial again recently the end thing wasn't there, I think they don't use it every time, thank God.
