Yet another stupid commercial coming from Dairy Queen!! This one a little girl draws a picture and forgets to draw a blizzard in dads hand. So he draws a blizzard on a post it note and eats it. Very stupid.

Yet another stupid dad commercial. It's a sad epidemic. This one really ticks me off because the dad just comes off as an asshole.

I hate this sexist piece of turd. The snotty girl who is rude to her dad is bad enough. But then they take it to a whole other level of awful by making the dad act like an idiot(because every man is an asshole idiot!) and have him make a scene like a child and eat paper.
I HATE, HATE, HATE that snotty little girl who says something like "girlscout cookies are for girls". Good, next time that little brat wants daddy to buy some of her cookies I hope he responds: "Sorry, girlscout cookies are only for GIRLS!" Go sell your cookies to mommy you brat! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

But God forbid there should be any men-only golf courses, lest they be picketed nonstop by angry feminists (redundant I know) or men only groups of any kind. Once again if the situation was reversed people would be all over it, saying it was the most offensive thing ever. I will say though that one benefit to this bad economy is that now I have a perfectly legit excuse to refuse Girl Scout cookies (They sure don't think they're for "girls only" where I live.) All I have to do is mumble something about times being tough and how I can't afford any luxuries and they've got no comeback for that |

Well, it isn't too weird I suppose because little girls often have such logic "it has the word 'girls' in it so it must be for girls only!"
her mother not correcting her might be the issue but then realistically would she correct her? She might say, "where's daddy's blizzard?" and then the girl would explain her reasons. ' Basically when children draw for their parents and one iota of correction or critiquing is involved, it devastates them. At that age drawing is a very primal expression and is really not to be trifled with or used as any type of learning tool. Even when imagery is disturbing or flat out dangerous, one has to tread lightly. HA, all that from a silly ice cream ad. What bugs ME is the dad is played by Dex from the Dex phonebook ads. Weird to see him doing something else |

Great, more man-bashing! Maybe we should just kill all males, since we're clearly not worthy of any respect.

You gotta love the double standards there. Apparently it's ok to bash men, but not okay to bash women. |

Hey sexist feminists, ever thought of this? If men are so terrible and you want fair job distribution, look at the garbage industry, the mechanic industry, the road building/repair industry, the lawncare/landscaping industry (and I could go on and on). Men dominate those areas, but you hardly ever see women complaining they want a "fair share" of work in those industries.
Face it, without men around, women would be in a WHOLE LOT of trouble, cause they wouldn't lower themselves to do that kind of work. Oh, I know, there is a small % of women that do , but not many. So, until I see women libbers picketing to have sewer maintenance jobs, I think they should just keep their mouth shut, and appreciate what men do every single day. And not try to horn in just on the nice, higher paying cushy jobs. And by the way, the commercial sucks!! I have been thinking about posting a thread on it, but you beat me to it. |

I've analyzed this commercial some more and I realize why I truly hate it. I hate the man as much as the woman because of how he acts. The man is upset over not having his Blizard in the picture, so he draws one. Rather than just leaving it at that, "mom" has to get bitchy and obnoxious and make a big deal over it. And then dad pisses me off the most. Instead of taking a stand and calling her out for acting that way(and in front of the children!), he decides to drop a few dozen IQ points and act like an immature manchild.

I would welcome this sexist trash on my TV. Around here it's all TEXAS DQ ads. Yes, somehow the state of Texas has claimed Dairy Queen as it's own. The logo is placed over an outline of Texas. The newest commercials say "Texas" FIVE times in 30 seconds, the menu board says "Texas" EIGHT times, and the jingle is "DQ, that's what I love about Texas". God I wish I was kidding. This state's love affair with itself knows no bounds.

The dad eating the freakin post it note kills me. I hate how the wife is like "let's not be childish" or something before he draws the blizzard, like she's so enthralled her daughter drew a blizzard for her and not her dad. Why in the WORLD does he eat the post it, why not throw it away? This family has some serious issues to worry about, why bother depicting such an unhealthy family? I can only imagine what other fights they get into.

Don't you know, EVERY month is Texas Truck Month!
What's gross is this new burger with nacho chips on it. Talk about something that will scrape your throat all the way down and possibly on the way out as well. |

Burger with nachos? No sir, that's the TEXAS DQ Tex-Mex burger, topped with a Texas T-Brand taco (?). And don't forget to TEXASize your meal.
I really wish I was making this up. |

That's because people bash too much. It happens constantly today, mostly against white middle-class Christian males. There's no reason not to use the word if it's appropriate.
Only because it has nothing to be proud of. Texas is quite the opposite. |
