I saw this tonight, was only half listening to the TV while surfing, so I didn't catch the whole thing. But I think it started out with some voice-over about what Midol does, and toward the end, there was this female stand-up comic doing a routine about how guys are wimps about pain. It ended with something like, "You have a runny nose? My uterus just fell on the floor!!!" or words to that effect.
Then there was loud laughter and applause from the crowd, and I think another quick voice-over to end the commercial.
Has anyone else seen this? Couldn't find video. I couldn't believe my eyes/ears...this is one of the most disgusting examples of the medical/feminine problem/ED commericals I've seen yet.

I don't know who the alleged 'comedienne' was, but it seems to be the first in a series of ads with a quick bite of stand-up 'comedy'...because, apparently, we really need to laugh at ads for 'lady parts' medication!

I was surprised by it, and it gave me pause (not menopause), but I find it less offensive than the penis pills, the KY commercials, and the Trojan min-vibrator commercials.
All in all, since the Supreme Court just upheld the FCC's ban on obscenity on TV, the FCC or FTC should ban all this genital crap altogether. |

Now that they do audience targeted commercials, there are certain shows you really gotta avoid.

I guess they're to scared of the backlash this awful commercial will create from people who didn't want their 30 seconds of life wasted on this stupid ad. What's the matter ad excecutives?? CHICKEN? BAWWWK BAAAWWK BAWWWWK ![]()
the only target audience I could see this ad being effective on is idiots,6 year olds, people with an IQ lower than 50 and insects. |

Ah-ah-ah...you're being partly redundant. Idiots were once people with an IQ below 25. |

Midol ads = One giant step backward for womankind. To the vast majority of women who regularly manage to go about their lives and jobs and relationships with dignity and composure, despite the real discomforts, and often pain, of their monthly cycle, I apologize for this moronic ad that paints you as a bunch of irrational, screaming, intolerant idiots in the name of "humor" and to sell their product.

Midol may provide some relief from pain, bloating, etc, but I don't see how it provides comic relief. There's nothing funny about, well, my uterus falling out.

I don't like how these ads for feminine products act like having your period is the worst thing in the world. Yeah, it sucks, but that doesn't mean we get to make everyone around us miserable. Yes, it can make you feel like crap, but some people use it as an excuse to be horrible.

They will say "Uterus" on a TV Commercial...but you can't say "f**k" on regular TV?!
That's bullsh*t!

They can also say "uterus" but not "gynecologist" as evidenced in the Assurant Health commercials with the lady who says "personal doctor". That commercial boils my blood just because of the immaturity of that comment. As though gynecologists are inappropriate and taboo doctors-- ARGH! Sorry, off topic... ![]() |

Oh it ALWAYS seems to be the first in a series of ads. But there's NEVER a series of ads, they usually just do one or two. Or one 30-second spot split into two 15-second "ads" to look like part of a series. Notice these are not 30-second spots. It's one of my Advertising Offenses. |

I hate this ad!! So disgusting. And sexist. Why does the woman get to say "uterus"? What if a man wants to say "my dick is so hard" on a Viagra ad? I'll bet that wouldn't be allowed on TV!!
