These ads show people in situations they would never really be in,
like two grown women grocery shopping together with one cart,
or a girls soccer team eating cheerios
with bowls and spoons on the soccer field.
I saw an ad where a guy eats cereal at an outdoor cafe,
with the cereal box on the table.
People eat cereal at home and that's it.
Nobody goes out and pays to eat cereal in a cafe.
And on the soccer field? Give me a break!
I'd like to see an ad that shows single people eating right over the sink.
Now that's a real situation.

yeah i hate that too!!! it's kinda like on america's funniest home videos, when they film their kid walking around outside, and he falls into a puddle that turns out to be neck deep.
 
ok...and you're filming your kid walking around outside WHY exactly?
Like last week I was eating spaghetti, and I just couldn't believe I was actually eating spaghetti ! I was putting it in my MOUTH !

It's always annoyed me when someone in a commercial is totally surprised by what they find in the cabinet or medicine chest--didn't they buy it? And with a medicine chest or bathroom cabinet, the product is almost always the ONLY thing in there when they open that door! I just saw one where the lady slides open this silly bathroom cabinet door and pulls out a roll of toilet paper, behind which is a new package of toilet paper (Quilted Northern), and there is nothing else in there. Gee, I'd like to have a toilet paper cabinet. But if I did, it would fill up with peroxide, bandaids, toothpaste, deodorant, this, that, and forty-leven other things! And in the kitchen, that cereal box is in the cabinet that has ALL KINDS OF FOOD and I'm not surprised by it, because I picked it out in the store, paid for it, and brought it home and put it away IN THAT CABINET. Well, ok, I have two kids, so sometimes I'm surprised when I open that cabinet, but that's because the cereal ISN'T in there! :)
