Mac Gruber, a take on Mac Guyver, from SNL to advertise Pepis. Mac Gruber says something about "refreshing everything"(the new slogan) and it ends with an explosion. But before that, he says his name has been legally changed to "Pepsuber".

Hey, a commercial for Pepsi and NBC.
Kind of a theme tonight. Do you think NBC gave discounts to companies that used NBC stars in their ads? Hulu with Alec Baldwin, Bud Light with Conan, and now Pepsi with two folks from SNL. If anything, this is the commercial that proves: Richard Dean Anderson is being held together with grout. |

They did that one plus about three others last nite on SNL.
RDA was in all of them.

Conan donated all the money he was paid for his ad to a charity that pays for poor, inner city NY kids to take vacations out in the country.

I thought it was interesting that they were using an SNL mini-skit as a commercial. But when I saw RDA as MacGyver in McGruber (with the hair!), that was priceless! |

Maybe its just me but I thought it was stupid on SNL and it was just as stupid as a superbowl commercial. Me and my husband were wondering if anyone still thinks SNL is funny. We thought maybe it was just us and we are getting older but the skits seem like they are tooooo long. Ya know, if they weren't funny during the first minute, its not gonna be funny five minutes in. Every weekend I tune in hoping that maybe the tide will turn but I end up disappointed each time.

SNL has always been hit or miss. Even back in the days of the original cast members there were skits that were hilarious & others that flopped. There were entire episodes that were awesome & others that sucked. Always been that way.

I can't stand the guy who plays MacGruber. Something about men who purse their lips to say their "s"s. Actually, ANYBODY who purses their lips to say their "s"s. And that includes Meredith on Grey's Anatomy.
Of course, I love Mary McCormack from In Plain Sight, so I have to deliberately go out of my way to tell myself I like her--even though I hate the way she pronounces her "s"s. It's just so . . . prissy. Bad enough for a woman; horrible for a man. |

O-M-G!!!! I LOVE In Plain Sight!!!
I'm so excited, it's coming back this spring(I don't know when) and we're getting USA HD in March.
It's one of the best shows on TV. So glad I found it last summer.

Yeah, she's really great. And I love Marshall, too!
But, really, I can do without the mother. |

yea, she's really a ditz. She also played Terri Hatcher's mom on Desperate Housewives. She fit beter there since Terri's character is a ditz, where Mary's character is not.
But I see the "strong woman" in this show where she has to take care of her mom and sister.
Check out my "Not Feelin Alright about TNT Monday" thread. I had similar discussion about the Holly Hunter show (that blows).

You're talking about Will Forte who's a tremendously funny & original performer. What amazes me is that you (or anyone for that matter) would publicly admit to watching Grey's Anatomy.
Yecch.

Awww, Jimbo not a fan of Grey's?
You don't wanna see what happens to McDreamy, McSteamy, McSexy, McWhorey, McSlutty, McHerpes, McShitty and my favorite character: McFuckMeInTheOnCallRoom!!

Also, no, I don't watch Grey's anymore. I haven't watched for the last two seasons. I just got more and more ridiculous.

Neither do I.
The post above was meant for entertainment purposes only.
And it was more entertaining than an episode of Grey's! |
