Young Stupid Guy alert! Young Stupid Guy is the Jackass candidate who injures himself for big fat laffs in Commercial Land. We have seen Young Stupid Guy in commercials for Mountain Dew, Monster Energy Drink, and last years' Snickers Ad. Today Young Stupid Guy returns in an ad for Diet Pepsi Max. Hideous. |

Wow there must be some really wimpy guys out there who think drinking diet soda is somehow a threat to their masculine image. I'm surprised they didn't get the beefy sounding guy from the Toyota Tundra commercials to talk about how you can drink Diet Pepsi Max while doing Manly Man things like driving your Toyota Tundra and singing about the navy or how fun it is to stay at the YMCA.

I don't think diet sodas are unmanly, I just hate the horrid aftertastes and sensations of the artificial sweeteners. I can't stand any of them I've tried since Cyclamates were banned. Caffeine depends on the time of day. Ginseng I have come to loath even more than artificial sweeteners! I tried some sort of raspberry flavored Mountain Dew last year, that also had ginseng. I couldn't stand it at all. I tried three cans over a few days, thinking that maybe it was an acquired taste, like beer. If so, I will never acquire the taste for it, nor for beer. ACK!!! Horrible.![]() ![]() ![]() |

I don't get the whole "for men" thing, either. Any man who requires a special sort of diet soda to be targeted at them in order to feel OK about drinking diet soda, is a pussy. |

Actually the raspberry Mountain Dew is the one that won the dewmocracy challenge, Voltage. The other two were strawberry/mellon with ginseng and wild berry. I like voltage the best of the 3, but that didn't stop me from hoarding the last few cases of Supernova I found at the grocery store. Gonna be worth something someday ![]() |
