Is that really so far off from what Denny's actually serves?

WTF, besides the obvious flaws in this ad...who calls sprinkles "chocolate do-diddles". Hell, even a man's man knows they go by sprinkles, or in the least, Jimmys. There's also no excuse for "giggle drops", gum drops will suffice.

I think it's more in line with what IHOP serves.

I liked the one with the mobster type guys, and then the waitress comes over and squirts the Cool Hwhip on the pancakes, as a smiley face.

I see the point, a serious breakfast.   Compared to the Shenanigans of iHop!! LOL

How about a 'Real Man's Breakfast'? (the photo wouldn't paste properly - here's a link for you!)

Those Denny's ads are by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners...ant they're not through with us.
"Nanapuss", the dancing banana peel, will be coming back, I'm certain.

The Grand Slam is the breakfast just about every drunk in Pittsburgh orders after the bars close. If it wasn't for alcoholics and goths Denny's would have went out of business ages ago.

Oh Yes, There will be blood.

I related it to IHOP more as well as the previous posters.  I was getting anoyyed at one more spritz of that whipped cream.  Too bad they could not end it with one of the mobsters threatening to shoot if one more 'spritz' happened... Evil%20Smile

plop plop fizz fizz oh what a relief it is..............

Confused...so you know this how? Do you attend the  Alcoholics' or Goths' nights - or both? The inquiring mindless need to know!

That was pretty good. I know what it's like to be in a serious conversation only to have a waitress constantly interrupting. I know they're doing their job but it's still irritating. Then knock that up a notch by adding a discussing "family business" and it's pretty funny.

You'd be surprised. I was having breakfast with some friends at 5am once during high school (i'm sure we were doing something stupid at the time to be out that late, but I really don't remember) and there were a bunch of kids in star wars outfits having light saber duels...at 5am. That was a major wtf....only at Denny's.

My mom used to be a night manager at one when she was in college and around 2 a.m. when the bars stopped pourin' the booze every drunk in town would crawl on over to the Denny's and always ordered the grand slam. As for the goths well some of my friends are goths and they like to eat there.

Well when we got done with the underground club dances we would hit up Denny's but for Eggs Benedict and lots of hot sauce or salsa.  They don't make Eggs Benedict any more those pansies!

Anyone wanting Eggs Benedict and not knowing how to make their own properly should not try any 'bargain basement' version. Save your pennies and go to a DECENT RESTERAUNT - nothing less. Once you've done this, you will understand - you certainly will not be sorry you spent just a few extra dollars. Of course, should you poach your own eggs, get real Canadian bacon, and get some decent Bernaise sauce (actually, what you get in most stores is *almost* acceptable (I think a tiny touch of lemon makes it right), and some decent bagels, you've got a wonderful treat!Tongue

Sorry Pa,

I like Hollandaise on my eggs and Bernaise on my steak....
