I've been on an 80s kick lately. I only wish I had been old enough to remember this stuff when it was popular.
"Safety Dance" is by far my favorite of the three - catchy tune, fun lyrics, people bouncing around rural England in silly costumes, a midget dressed as a court jester... What's not to love? |

Listened to Slade while doing yardwork today. Not particularly one of the greats from the 70s...but they were fun and they rocked.

I just heard it for the first time a couple of days ago, and it's already (most definitely!) in my top three!

I just downloaded that one from iTunes recently! How could I not? 9+ minutes of music for $1.
Maybe that's what I sould base my iTunes purchases on from now on. Not whether or not I like the song, but how much bang for my buck I can get. Hmmmm...annoying as it is, I wonder if I can get In-A-Gadda-da-Vida for $1.
Actually, I loved that Steppenwolf song way back when, and then forgot about it for years. Now that I have it, I've been listening to it more often.

Not my favorite by any means but I can't get that damned "hum, hum, hum, hum, hum, a Prius for everyone" out of my head!

Velvet Eden recorded a new version of this song, first recorded in 1998, I believe, or '99. I love it. Happy too, because the demotape version is too muted volume wise, and the album version has that split-second bit at the beginning where another song is ending. Also, Dada's vocals sound much better. |

Thanks Thor...getting a brief lesson in How To from Jimbo...pulling my hair out the last couple days figuring out how to post pix/vids. If only because I used to do it all the time, and for some reason, just lost all that info in my brain....
