Thread Purpose: Show a commercial - ANY commercial - you feel the 'Mindless, wandering Adhound Marketing Goofs' can use for inspiration to pitch a product or supplier. One that successfully 'sold' you would be best; otherwise ones that have left the corporate name burned into your brain. It can be from ANYTIME; need not be current.

This whole idea came to me after seeing a few of the NEW Capital One Viking 'Triple Rewards' Commercials (yes, they're baaaack in absolute classics - don't see the videos available yet!!!Big%20smile)

Anyway...Capital One has some great marketing folks...EVERYONE knows who Capital One is, because of them.

It's an insurance company, Faith.

Here's a slightly better one for the same company.

We can always count on our very, very 'bent' local taco chain for something best described as 'odd'. Brand spankin' new...

Maybe this should be in 'Commercials that Confuse and Bewilder' - but it sure is interesting!

...now all I can think about is John Prine singing 'Paradise'...time to bounce to another thread...

Snickers ads have been so good for soooo long. Having just started a new thread on the new ones, I decided to dig up an old one that STILL makes me laugh! Big%20smile

ohhhhh...after replying to PA, in the 'Quaker Oats' thread, I simply couldn't see how this thread would be complete without some more 'inspiring' commercials...

Actually, rather than starting the Huggies 'Dad' thread, I should've posted them both, here.

In my opinion, the greatest commercial of all time:

I was a kid in the early-to-mid 70s when this PSA was run. It worked, I never throw on the ground, never throw trash out of the car, ever. And I cringe when I see other people throw trash - even cigarette butts - out of the car.

Geezer - I remember that commercial - they really should soak the airwaves with it considering the obvious need versus the short run it had.

Today, I got stuck on more humor...I saw a very slightly different version of this one; the scene when they yell, "HE SCORES!", was slightly more suggestive...had ME running for the 'JFM'!
