I'm pretty sure both of these ads have been mentioned here before, but apparently the economy is forcing their resurrection...
1. SYLVAN PARTY IN THE TEACHER'S LOUNGE
This is the one where the girl dances it up with school faculty to "celebrate her B+". Given the fact that teachers are busted for having inappropriate relationships with students on a near-daily basis, isn't this ad just a bit disconcerting?
2. BEYONCE UPGRADE, UPGRADE!
I like Beyonce as much as the next guy but this ad's repetitive music ("Up-GRADE!") and Beyonce's handclaps and strange hunched-over dance moves are just grating.
We suffered through these ads once, why can't they just go to their rest?

ANOTHER BAD REPORT CARD??!!
WE GROUNDED YOU! GOT TOOTERS!
You think I wanna fail?
It must be the end of the first marking period in a lot of schools, because this same old stupid Huntington/Sylvan (hell I don't know) Learning Center commercial is back. Seriously, this commercial must be over 10 years old. Can't they afford to make new ones with gothy kids or Bratz doll look alike girls? Seems like Huntington/Sylvan are strug uh ling with their advertising budget.

I was HORRIFIED to see Beyonce shilling for Directv's s..tty service. And especially since it is THE SAME commercial that aired before. I think thye like to think we're morons who can't remember what we just saw not that long ago.

Herseys Kisses, playing Christmas tunes!! How friggin old is this damned ad??? I seem to remember this thing from Y-E-A-R-S AGO!!!!!!! I forget what song they are ringing out, but each kiss jumps up as if it were a little bell being rang by an invisible hand. Man I saw this thing a few hours ago and could NOT believe they still run it.

That has been running since at least the mid 90s. I remember that commercial along with the Cambells soup one with the snowman that turns into the boy being on TV when I was still in single digit ages.
I don't find that one annoying at all. I like it as it is a reminder of how commercials used to be better. Face it, most new ones are CRAP. http://www.retrojunk.com/details_commercial/1273/ According to a comment there, this commercial was produced and first aired in 1990. Holy S...!! That's almost 20 years old!! |

Comcast is pathetic. Everything that comes out of them (service, ads, pricing) is lamentable. There is only one Comcast commercial I liked, that one being the $25,000 Pyramid spoof. Mainly because I like programs like that,

It never stopped, but I can't stand that this campaign is still going, TWC's "Average Joe" with the guy who is dumber than a box of rocks(he can't understand the phone bill??). When you have TWC, you're subjected to these ads all the time!
Also, that insipid singing puppy. At first it looks like the cute Cottonelle dog(I LOVE that dog!) but don't be fooled, it's Time Warner Cable singing about their 4 -day sale. In an annoying kids voice. |

Those Sears "reality" Ads where we see what appears to be a Home Video of somebody opening a gift and then going CRAZY like they just won the lottery. These "Grant a Wish" ads have to go!

Oh come on, Wild Grinch, it's a classic little Christmas song and what's more Christmas-y than bells? and it's funny to boot. I love the last bell going "whew" after the finale. Simple and clever. And it's an ad for CHOCOLATE for goodness sake, gets an automatic C just for that.
Now if you're going to rag on that casserole-eating-tree monstrosity of a Christmas ad, I'll be right there with ya, bud!!!

I find the Hershey's Kisses "We wish you a Merry Christmas" ad annoying, but for some reason I like hearing it in the background, it reminds me that it's Christmas, and I'm a sucker for the Holidays. But I do hate all the Christmas diamond store ads, especially since I had to just sell my soul for an engagement ring - so much for my dream digital camcorder .....

My problem with this one is the cranked up volume. Of course, that could be part of their ploy: stress you out for a second, you reach for the chocolate....
