First of all, I had no idea this was produced for the World Wildlife Fund. I'm all for having a wild life! Secondly, I'm sure all of these places, famous or not, are going turn off all of the lights at 8:30! What if it's a grocery store and they have customers? Are they going to kill all of the traffic lights? I'll bet this little hick town keeps the street lights on. I've become pretty good about turning things off when not in use. Then we have the Energy Vampires. |

They have a head start, the Vegas strip is oddly dark, Atlantic City also.
Times Sq. NYC will go mostly dark tonight. I'm not some kind of "tree hugger" but if there is one good thing coming out of this Covid insanity, the air pollution Worldwide is way way down. |

Just to be a dick I turn all the lights in my place on at the same time just to do my part to counteract any of this virtue signaling nonsense that will effect exactly nothing

As I like to say to all those virtuous types---"F*ck the environment. The environment can suck my dick". |

I'm a nature lover, so even if the ones pushing things like this tend to come across as a little annoying, I support any efforts on its behalf.

I'm sorry...I just have one too many sour lemons as we speak. My father isn't doing well and I can't see him because of this Coronavirus...I'm certain everyone like me has the blues and see Winter instead of Spring. It's like life is on pause and if we can erase 2020 off the map and have next year be 2020 and make this year be 0...I'll be happier.

If life hands you lemons, add booze...
It's nice that gas is coming down, but now there's no place to drive... |

I just checked, $1.79 at Sams Club near me. Holy crap, I knew it went down...but not to this degree! Hell with it, I will fill up all my gas jugs tomorrow for my lawn mower, leaf blower..the snow blower (which thankfully I didn't use once, not even a shovel this past winter here) Plus with growing cases here, now all this new news of this area becoming a new "hot zone," who the hell knows what's going to happen. Anyway, some insurance companies are giving $$ back for car insurance. "Allstate and American Family Insurance -- announced Monday they will give back about $800 million to their auto insurance customers because people are driving far less during the coronavirus crisis." https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/06/business/allstate-payments-coronavirus/index.html I can only HOPE I can get a small little refund from Travelers...that would be nice. Hell I just paid the full amount for March 1 '20- Feb 28, 2021. I don't think I drove more than 15...maybe 20 miles since March 1. |
