Lifetime is a guilty pleasure when I'm away watching TV late at night. At home, I don't have cable or satellite. If I did I'd be a couch potato oompa loompa! I enjoy the cheesy movies usually starring well off beautiful women who get into trouble. Pom pom prostitutes, secret society sex slave cults and psychotic lipstick lesbians are a few of Lifetime's smarmy offerings. But! That damn Christmas Creep. Starting October 25 through the already too long holiday season Lifetme movies will all be Christmas themes and of course those rerun so called classics. In my part of the country, we still have 90+ degree weather and hurricanes off the coast. Why isn't there networks dedicated to Christmas and Halloween. Yep, Yule Tide 24/7 year round and Pagan Palooza on the round the clock Haloween network. Then, the rest of us can be left alone. Christmas crap/creep should not start a minute earlier than midnight at the end of Thanksgiving! Even that's way too long.

It must have been Cheerleader Movie Night, according to the TV listings.  I don't think I missed much...

Check the schedule of XMAS-oriented films and maybe LIFETIME can partially redeem themselves in your eyes - here's some ideas I found, hope they help, ZJ:

I watched this one Lifetime movie once.  It starred Robert Urich as a prominent (and married) small town politician/businessman who frequented prostitutes.  He had a daughter who was going to college and simultaneously working as a prostitute.  Well, one day, Dad's at a motel, and decides to get himself an "escort" to come up to his room.

Knock-knock.

Guess who it is.

Good stuff.  I wish I remembered the name of it.

So, did she do her job?

Did she make sure dad got his money's worth?

Seems like she owed him that much.

I think ill buy bags of kisses and reeses in red, green and gold and hand them out on Halloween. The skulls and pumpkins will wait for Christmas. Wait! I still have Easter candy lying around! I'll slam all the holidays together.

Hell, we have a TOWN about a 30 minute drive from my house, depending on the route and the traffic, that is NAMED Christmas.

People drive there during the holidays to mail their Christmas cards from the post office so they'll get the P.O. stamp that says they were sent from Christmas, Fla.

The Christmas tree and decorations are up all year long.
