Jesus drowns 78 y/o grandmother & matriarch of famous Duggar TV family with 19 kids
For those of you who may have never heard of them, the Duggars are the family of a couple who seem to be trying (if they haven't done so already) to set the world record for pumping out babies. I think the current count is 19 children. Anyway, there were apparently a couple of exploitative money grabs disguised as reality TV shows, the most recent one called "Counting On", of which the late grandma Duggar was the star and which she used as a platform from which to pontificate about, among other things, her love for Jesus and her Christian beliefs. All while making a nice buck, of course. Well, apparently Jesus wasn't a fan of the show, because in spite of all her worshipping and church going and praising Jesus and talking Him up to anybody and everybody who would listen... Sunday afternoon he drowned her.
From the Duggar Family Facebook page:
Well of course, if she had her pick, it would be to drown in the family pool after returning home form church. Right. Well, thanks a ton, Jesus!!! I guess all that boot-licking sycophancy was for nothing. https://people.com/tv/counting-on-grandma-mary-duggar-cause-of-death-accidental-drowning/amp/ RIP grandma Duggar. |

RIP grandma Duggar. Meanwhile, back at the ranch... "Let's now remember Granny before we eat...thank you for the food we are about to ingest, especially Granny's share since she took off for 'greener pastures'...and let's remember how great it is we had that huge life insurance policy on her - once we cash it in, remember to have our dress-alike jeans and checkered shirts cleaned and pressed before we go down and all get new Chevys from Potsch and make that commercial because WE are 'real people'! Yes! We are The Duggars!" ~~~ Well, the Duggar Roach Farm is now at something like 23-1, considering the grandkids and now the loss of (great Granny). Did you read any more on this, like, oh...if Jeezus wanted Granny to wear cinder block shoes into the deep end, or if she had to ensure she would keep her hands together in prayer and take a vow of silence (which would explain all the duct tape)?~~~ "JohnBoyDuggar?! If YOU don't get out there and find you a decent wife to join our cult, you're going to just have to be like Grampa and marry one of your sisters!"

I just can't help but see the irony in how this über Christian who spent every waking hour if her life jabbering about her faith in Jesus ends up with her lungs full of chlorinated pool water on a Sunday morning right after church.
I guess all that time she spent praying was time that coulda been better spent. |

Now drowning isn't scaphism, but isn't it one of the more painful ways to earn that MudMonkeyMeritBadge ('to die')?
