I feel you-- this latest funeral was supposed to be a private funeral (from what I understood, "private" was supposed to mean closed to news media). Well, I go to see TPIR today, and CBS News is at that "private" funeral! What is the point?! They were already at the public one in Washington-- it makes no sense! |

Let me tell you what *I* think!
The guy earned his MudMonkeyMeritBadge a while back - been on TV more since he died than for the previous 10 years of his life! And they keep covering the funeral(s)! How many friggin' funerals do we need? Maybe they should get an Amtrak train and shuffle his mortal remains around the country to view - stop in all the little rural towns and let the locals come view him - heck, that's what they did with Abe Lincoln. They could even schedule 'field trips' for 1st-4th graders to go to the local Amtrak station and view 'The Dead Guy', have a quiz and give a free Dairy Queen chocolate-dipped ice cream cone to the 10 children who answered the most correct questions about him. The ones who giggled, didn't pay attention, and otherwise picked their noses? They would need a 'good mental shake-up' and should be forced to go touch the dead guy.
And you know what? When they showed his dog, I actually panicked! I thought for sure they were going put it to sleep and mummify it, and place it with him to be with him for eternity, as was done for some ancient South American civilizations and some of the Pharaohs of Egypt.

Other than the absurdity of everything said herein, threads with any sort of political leanings really belong in the 'Political Forum'...but one has to wonder who remains to be dug up to say anymore about this good man.

Oh, Double Zero. Did you know that you could correct your sloppy spelling error? People judge you on your typing skills...and other stuff too.

Are you really stupid enough to pick at me, much less tell me what 'most folks seem to talk about'? You like making bad choices? I already know YOU have made at least one BAD one...

You are the kind of people that drag the forum down, the kind of people that push people away! Screw you! Donna!

Send a message to FA and ask him to move this thread to the Political Forum, please - you are starting to resemble another board member a little too much.
Meanwhile - get 'er done...or go talk about commercials

I'm not going to pick on you, but you should be ashamed of yourself. Let's talk about something else...what about...
