Lowe's has a whole boat load of commercials like this.  This poor black woman, they make her look like such an idiot!  I hope the commercial's paid well. Confused

I have a seething hatred for places such as Lowes and Home Depot! A couple weeks ago I saw a report on CBS NEWS Sunday Morning where a decades old well known to the community hardware store had to close due to competition from those big impersonal bastard stores! So each time is see their stupid ads I MUTE them.

The only "moment" that comes to mind for me with regards to Lowe's is that moment when I'm there and can't find what I'm looking for and there's not an employee around to be seen anywhere.

We still have several Ace Hardware stores around here which are reminiscent of the old mom & pop hardware stores and a place called Miller's Hardware in a neighboring town which really is a hold over from decades past.

Still in the same spot.

Somehow I doubt this numbskull is smart enough to realize that he's a numbskull.

How much you wanna bet the reason why he can't shut the door is because the thing is full of old, half empty containers of moldy, rotting food and cartons of sour milk?

If the lazy slobs would clean the thing out once in awhile, they'd probably have plenty of room.

I have had about the same results at Lowes. Fortunately while searching the entire store for assistance I have found what I was looking for. Once I found an employee but what I was trying to find was not their department so they had no clue. I sort-of remember a commercial where a couple are looking for an employee to answer questions concerning appliances but can only find the fertilizer guy. I have only one local ACE which is oddly co-joined with a regional pharmacy/variety store. The only ACE employee I have seen more than once is the paint mixing guy. I asked him once where something was and he had no clue. All cashiers are pharmacy employees. If I ask them where something ACE is they usually know. If they don't they call an invisible ACE employee. My ACE is nothing like the Mom and Pop hardware stores I grew up with. "ACE is the place with the non-existent hardware guy" (sorry now "guy" is non-sexist "folks" plus non-discrimination LBGTQs). While I was typing the ACE holiday commercial played twice on TV!

The ACE Hardware stores nearest to me are all franchises owned by the same family.

Oddly enough, the family's last name is Toole!!!

They are pretty good, though. Family owned and operated, loyal employees many of whom have been there for awhile.

Family owned can make a huge difference! They probably have the now unfortunately obsolete business model of customer satisfaction.  Family name Toole?LOL

I hate these commercials too. It sounds as though they're trying to be "hip" with some sort for general internet bullsh*t terms and in this case, "Well, that moment you....etc etc etc." It just sounds like some stupid meme that they're trying to cash in on. I loathe those things to begin with and then having to jump out of cyberspace and onto my TV is inexcusable. If I wanted internet content, I'd get back on the computer.

I absolutely despise the one with the backyard barbaque, where a guy asks to get into a cooler another guy is sitting on and the sitter barely moves. Lowe's can't fix a guest who is a monumentally inconsiderate douche. That guy needs to be shoved hard out of the way. Don't need to go to Lowe's for that.

Yes!  That guy's response (to lift himself just slightly off the cooler) doesn't even make sense.  It looks very uncomfortable.
