Groovy way back when, but I've seen it since, and it's pretty bad.  Good for about 10 minutes due to its kitsch factor, but that's about it.

Oh, I dunno.

I watch it occasionally on Decades, a new retro TV, OTA channel that started up around here recently. Runs every weeknight.

Funny how some of the social and political humor and topics from the late 60's and early 70's seem so similar to what's going on today.

Can't get used to that bad combover on Dick Martin's head, though.

Even when it first ran, I got sick of the silliness fast.
I've always liked 'intelligent stupidity'.
'Well-constructed dumb'.

Ignorance for the 'thinking man'.

...and other than Arty Johnson now and then, it was never there.

I can't completely agree with that.

Sure, some of it was mindless slapstick and some of the jokes were just lame, but they also did a lot of pointed topical social and political humor much of which had a sharp, iconoclastic edge which made and still makes it OK in my book.

JMHO.

Yeah, anybody who would spend money on 'Laugh In' has more dollars than sense.

How did I end up with a waterfront property with such foolish spending practices?  I give up!
