I knew that my post in 'what are you listening to now' was ignored.

Yep.  I thought it deserved its own thread, too.

Adele's new album is good and she is a strong and talented vocalist. :)
My name is Donathan, pronounced the same way you pronounce Jonathan, except with a D.😀 Hitting on a Lesbian who speaks to you and about you like trash means you're REALLY desperate! 😀

Not sure how I missed your thread.

The wife asked me, about a week ago, if I had heard the remake of Sound of Silence.
I told her yeah but neither one of us knew the groups name. The song just started playing in this area within the past 2 weeks.

Yeah, Disturbed knocked it out of the park on that cover.

As for good new music, it depends on your tastes. If you like thrash(as I do), the new Death Angel is fantastic. Of course, if you don't like thrash, you're gonna hate it:

I'm also fond of the new Suidakra, with their usual Celtic-infused death metal:

"I see the sadness in their eyes
Melancholy in their cries
Devoid of all the passion
The human spirit cannot die"

This song has been out for a few years now...it carries an R-rating. Listen at your own risk!

For those that enjoy more of the 'roots' and less of the bubblegum....

I've been hearing this for a week or so, just today I heard the title.
The guitar at 1:58 reminds me of Dire Straits.

Big smileThanks NR...never really been a 'Radiohead' fan, but really enjoyed that one - especially when I could just tell they were honing in on 'The Wicker Man' (maybe hit me like a rock in about 30 seconds).

This is pretty good, the vocalist reminds me of 'Florence + The Machine'.

Some strange sounding instruments but they make it work.  Thumbs Up

Probably, the only time I listen to the radio is when I'm driving.
Heard this one this morning...I like it!

^ That guy works that bass guitar.

One member said that alternative music was as bad as Rap or Hip Hop.

No offense, Anduril. Listen to some of the songs in this thread.

Love the slide guitar.

^  I liked that song for awhile, but now that they're using it in several commercials, I've gotten tired of it.
