Two stupid snotty parents telling their kid "oh, you wouldn't like this ice cream." If he wants it, give him a friggin sample you stupid parents! If he likes it, maybe he can have some more at another time, and if he doesn't, he doesn't have to eat it again. Obviously, it looks like dessert time for him anyways...
F off Breyer's adtards.

Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

I guess selfishly hoarding the Gelato from their child is literally one step better than stealing the Gelato from their child...
My name is Donathan, pronounced the same way you pronounce Jonathan, except with a D.😀 Hitting on a Lesbian who speaks to you and about you like trash means you're REALLY desperate! 😀

You give kids the crappy stuff---the vanilla/chocolate/strawberry stuff that comes in 5-gallon tubs and which isn't any brand you've ever heard of---and keep the expensive, good stuff for yourself and your friends. Kids can't tell the difference, let alone care. Kids don't need gelato.

This commercial seems subtly retro, but I can't put my finger on it.

Also, the background music is awful. What the hell is it supposed to be? At moments it attempts to be porno music, yet at others it's supposed to imply childishness... Terrible.

I have nothing to add to what you said but I needed to tell that your username is by far the best.

LOL'Imp Child Porn Muszak' - sounds so much worse than 'bad elevator muzak', almost like something that could influence people to do very bad things. Things for which one could arrested and put on some online list for the mentally ill, deranged and otherwise dangerous and socially unacceptable deviants...but we don't like imps, so...it's all good.

Actually, the muzak in the first 5 seconds sounds just like the stuff that invades my dreams on a regular basis. ". I don't mind this commercial so much.

Pretty piss-poor parenting. This has been going on for way too long. And to think the kids in that old Sealtest Polar Bar ad had it rough... since when the deuce does gelato have to do with "the birds and the bees"?

I tried it once two summers ago (Chocolate Fudge Truffle, I think it was?) while my parents were tending to my then-hospitalized grandpa in D.C., and, to tell you folks the truth, it was rather yum-my!
One call... destroys 'em all!

If the parents don't want the kid to have their gelato, why not, you know, be f**king parents and say something like "sorry, you need to be going to bed soon, and don't need sugar this close to bed time".

Or if they insist on trying to make him not want any, why the f**k would they say it has "caramel and crunchy stuff", the same sort of stuff thats in like every candy bar out there, as if that will somehow discourage him? Why not say "it's a health snack, made from milk, spinach, and cabbage". Bet the little rat wouldn't want any of it then...

These parents are TOO damn greedy!

Here's the extended version...

Boy: Can I Have Some?

Mom: No...It's NOT For Kids...Go To Sleep!

Boy: Luckily I Now Have A Cell Phone...I'm Calling Child Services For NOT Sharing!

Dad: Okay...Okay...You Can Have A Taste!
Thank God for kids who love Obscure Things.

This commercial is truly annoying.  Not only are the parents selfish in keeping it from their kid, but the kid is annoying as well.  That tone and look!   Personally, I would have told the child he is supposed to be in bed.  Secondly, I would tell him if he would like to try some he may have some BEFORE bedtime the next night.
