No casino, too much work.

I did get a call from the local SS office.  I explained that I just want the benefits I get when I turn 62.  She said I have already done the work to apply for both SS and Disability.  She said the state will find my medical records...That's the problem, there are no medical records.  She is sending me the proper application.

Looks like they finished repaving the street this morning.

My cat is relieved.

I kind of figured it was Native American casinos. There's quite a few in Michigan too. Firekeepers, Soaring Eagle and a few others.

A couple years back, there was sewer work being done in my neighborhood to stop flooding. My cat was extremely scared during work hours and was often hiding in the house for a long duration of time.

My cat was mainly afraid of the big machine they ran over the old surface to scrape it down and create a rough surface for the new asphalt to adhere to.

It made a low rumbling sound but it also sent vibrations through the ground that I guess he could feel through the floor.

I think it was the combination of the vibrations and the low rumble together that scared him.

He spent he day underneath the bed.

I think that's almost as bad because it implies "American", and that offends some of them redskinned varmints.

My cat was the same way. The banging and hammering and the vibrations were what scared him so much.

Almost finished mowing the yard when clouds of smoke started coming out from under the engine. Drove it back to the shed & shut it off before (i hope) too much damage was done.  Should be a fun week of taking it apart to find out what happened.  With any luck it will be an easy (and cheap) fix (which I doubt.  Been hit hard by the jinx this month...  Unhappy  )  And I'd just repaired a front wheel problem (sealed up a microfracture in what turned out to be a hollow plastic rim, which really leaked air out of it. And this was a brand new $100 wheel... Angry )

My truck told me on Sunday that the RF tire was down to 28 PSI.  They are supposed to be at 35.

Monday morning, 24 PSI.  Alright, I'm going to have to do something about this.  There are 2 options. I think there is a store uptown with an air pump.  I know my compressor is full of air because I always turn the valve off.  I've been here 3 months and have not loaded my tools into the tool box, the compressor is behind all of that stuff.  I need to call the guys uptown and see if they can fix the tire while I wait.

2 very restless nights. I needed some stuff at the store.  Milk, water and some damned Nyquil.  I ate the quarter pounder I bought yesterday, one small swig of Nyquil.  I was completely out of it for 3 hours.  I won't need anymore of that until much later today.

I've had to take the whole top half of the riding mower off just to be able to remove the engine (haven't done that yet, lost 3 days due to rain.)  I'll have to wrangle up some help to lift it, it's too heavy for me alone...  Ouch

On the plus side, I figured out a major piece of the perpetual motion machine I've been working on...  Thumbs Up

I'm picturing a Briggs or Kohler V-twin.  Shouldn't be that heavy.

10 hp B&S.  It's too damn heavy for me. ;-)  The main fight is going to be getting the pulleys off the engine shaft.  Can't get the engine out until I do that. Sprayed a bunch of penetrating oil in it tonight, so we'll see...

You may have to remove the deck.  Some auto parts stores rent out pullers.  Depending on how old it is and if it was kept inside.

I've got one of those.

Head down to Harbor Freight and pick one up for a few bucks.

Actually, I have two of those. Wink   I've stripped the mower almost all the way down (massive overhaul and cleaning time!), it's just the damn engine that doesn't want to come off.  The opening in the floor of the deck is too small to get the pulleys through, otherwise I'd leave them on.  Back at it tomorrow...

Not really. My phone already gives me plenty of trouble.  I don't expect any trouble from the people here. If you are concerned about me.  You can send me a text!  You old fart!
