My first celebrity crush was Kevin from The Wonder Years. I thought he was so cute. I remember telling my mother that I was going to marry him when I grew up. LOL. I don't have any desire to marry Fred Savage now as an adult, LOL. I threw a temper tantrum when Family Matters replaced The Wonder Years and wondered why this stunking show was airing in Kevin's show time. I like Family Matters by the way. It was just back then, I found it jarring that FM was playing in TWY usual time slot.

Mine was very like the popular song by The Who ( Pictures Of Lily), because my first crush was for an actress who was rather old at the time of my crush. Myrna Loy. As a kid I saw all of her Thin Man movies where she played the role of Nora Charles. I just loved her looks, her charm, her intelligence, and then I found out that she was also a ginger ( which I have ALWAYS fancied!).
Then my Dad told me that Ms. Loy was even older than my Mum, I was crushed....yet I've never stopped enjoying her films. She's still my favourite actress of all time.

My first celebrity crush was Anne Francis who starred in the mid 1960's show about a female private eye called Honey West.

I dunno, Rerun.  There was a boatload when I was around 10 or 11, but prior to that, here's one:

Shelley Fabares from the Donna Reed Show.

I was just thinking of her as among the many celebs I had a crush on at around the age of 10 or 11.  Other ones include Brigitte Bardot, Joy Lansing and Michelle Phillips.

I remember one Sunday morning when I was about 8 y/o, I got up & looked at the cover of the weekly TV listings insert in the local Sunday paper, & to my incredible delight, there was her closeup picture on it.

So I went up & down the street, looking for newspapers still lying in people's driveways & took the TV listings out of them.

I think I wound up with about a half a dozen or so!!

In 5th grade, when we found out Honey West was going to be cancelled, my Catholic school friends and I wrote up a petition, which we sent to ABC.  It must've gotten lost in the mail.

I was a little like Jimmy (I can totally relate to that song too!) in that my first crushes were quite a bit older than me...

I first saw Ghostbusters in the theater and it ended up being a toss-up between Bill Murray and Harold Ramis. Poor Harold... still in denial about that one...

Then you'll really enjoy this clip.

From what I understand, she was singing this to you.... Big smile LOL

And this cover of a great old Simon & Garfunkel tune, from the same SNL episode was cool too...

...too bad it's kind of crappy video quality.

Enjoy.
