If Chumlee was as stupid as he's made out to be for the entertainment purposes of the show, he'd have been fired long ago. A broken clock is right twice a day. Chumlee never is.

I can just imagine some teacher asking an elementary student "What did you watch last night?" "I watched Pawnography!"

Austin Russell ('Chumlee') is about as useful as tits on a bull...but, probably because he is 'comedic relief', has garnished a popular following. Just goes to show we have a LOT of stupid people wandering around aimlessly.

It's fun for some, and, well, both of the elder Harrisons have nteresting backgrounds and neither are stupid - they both are equally astute when it comes to separating fools from their money. Of course, should one be an expert at spotting the likes, no need to watch - nothing to learn, should hard times hit. Personally, I get a kick out of some of the staged silliness (and yea, 100% is staged and signed-off on by the victims) - heck, I'm a 'businessman' - the 'front man' for our services and I get the occasinal kick out of watching 'minor leaguers'.

I don't know, this might be entertaining, I'll give it a shot. Like to see these guys go up against the Antiques Roadshow bunch.. or maybe take on the Storage Wars folks.
But yes, it does seem like the History Channel isn't exactly where it should be..maybe the Discovery Network? Game Show Channel? |

Nothing, no matter how pathetic or ridiculous, surprises me anymore from The Used to Actually Do Programming About History Channel.

So sick and tired of what Hollywood and Hollywood exec's deems as "entertainment" these days. I will be dancing in the streets once ALL of the "reality" shows are done for good on the air. I mean I know and get that some of the stuff at the pawn shops have something to do with some kind of history but COME ON, if I want to learn about history, put some decent shows on, there are TONS of subjects they can explain and teach us about. I'm just tired of the "reality" kick, I was sure that it wouldn't last as long as it has, when....WHEN WILL IT END?
