Speaking of James Gandolfini (another huge loss) - I caught this movie called "Down the Shore" - low budget but really, really good.

I remember the dream he had where he was at the big white house and everyone he knew was there. I can't remember all the details.

It was a dream/nightmare scene, one of the times Tony got shot.
There were a couple of strange episodes like when the horse was in the house.

I love the way Annette Bening says "Have you ever seen whiter whites?"  LOL

I was around 12 or so the first time I saw The Great Outdoors, so I didn't quite get the full gist of that joke until seeing it again a few years later.

I'm fairly certain that Drive-In screens were curved.

I know my TV isn't hot because I still have the receipt proving that I paid for it.

Funny story about that... when I bought my TV from Sears & went to the customer pick up area to pick it up, their computers were down. A young kid who didn't seem to really be on the ball, went into the back, got my TV, brought it out & just had me sign some piece of paper or something upon which I just scribbled something. He apparently lost or just tossed it in the trash, because a couple of days later, I got a call from Sears telling me that I could come down & pick up my TV if I wanted to.

I told the guy that I was gonna do them a favor by admitting that I already got the TV rather than coming back in & picking up a second set, which I could have gotten for free.

Are you sure that temp isn't coming from your wife's head after she's eaten a few jalapenos dipped in cayenne pepper?

I heard about those. Supposedly they give you a more "3D-like" view,

They're also saying that if you don't go 65" or larger, it's just a waste of money.

When they first came out with LED sets, I was looking at one at hh gregg & I noticed the same thing. Got up near the screen & I could feel the heat really radiating off of it. I even asked the sales guy about it.

But actually, that makes no sense because LED TV's are supposed too consume less power & generate the least heat of all the different types of new TVs.

This could have been an early version of the LED set that wasn't a true LED, but rather an LCD screen illuminated from behind by an LED panel. So the heat I felt, could have been coming from some other component inside the set.

I dunno. All this new electronic techno crap is so confusing.

I do know that my straight up LCD set doesn't seem to generate any significant or noticeable amount of heat. I'll have to check it next time I have it on.

Mine is the same way.  Walk by it and you can feel the heat being emitted from it.

I wonder sometimes, it's 71 outside, why is the AC running.
I already know the answer. The fridge, dishwasher, washer, dryer, incandescent bulbs.
This TV, we bought about 10 years ago, it works well, but it's like walking by the fireplace.
